Community Living Options-CLO

Friends from our Old Log Trail home headed over to the Gilmore Car Museum to see some new cars, visit the historic campus buildings, and enjoy the weather.

Community Living Options and those we serve benefit SO MUCH from our local partnerships. With many opportunities for community integration and volunteerism, our individuals served get to experience life to the fullest with us.

It was such a pleasure to attend this year! Thank you to the awesome staff who facilitated this event. Our individuals served had a great time.

Nothing says summer quite like a trip to the county fair!

Last week, a few of our Individuals Served and staff enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Van Buren Youth Fair. Walking through the exhibits and spending some quality time with some equine friends make for a great day.

We're here at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market for the ADA Celebration hosted by Disability Network Southwest Michigan! Swing by our table and talk to our staff about how CLO changes lives!

Fun times at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes' All Abilities Camp in Schoolcraft! A few of our friends had the chance to head out there and play some sports, meet new friends and enjoy the nice weather.

The Michigan FCA offers free camps and caters to athletes living with disabilities and special needs of all levels from age 5 and up. What a great opportunity!

Why do we do what we do? It's for the little things. The big things, and all the fun things in between.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are the foundation that leads to self-reliance, physical and mental wellbeing, and community integration. Today some of our individuals made a trip to Wolf Lake to enjoy the sights and other worked on skill building at our Alcott Day Program.

Whether we're helping our community, working on skill building, or just taking a relaxing day out in the community, the individuals we serve are staying BUSY this summer! We're thankful to have so many great relationships with partners around town, including the Gilmore Car Museum , , and . Stay tuned for more exciting adventures from those we serve here at CLO!

Happy HOT Monday CLO friends! As we continue to do our fun outdoor activities and outings, we're reminded to PACK the essentials if you're going to be out in the heat this week. Preparation before stepping out of the house is key, whether that be sunblock, UV-resistant clothing, medication, or maybe most important, water. The little things are still key to staying healthy and safe out there!

What a fun time! Thank you everyone who came out to enjoy the weather, play games, and have fun. It means the world to us to have friends and family come out to see what we're all about.
