Take a Deep Breath 🌿 Settle in with Mullein Tea + Farmstand Open This Weekend! 07/16/2026

Got Mullein?

In a busy, polluted world, sometimes our bodies just need a moment to take a deep, clear breath. In one of our blog posts, Nature’s Deep Breath: The Surprising Benefits of Mullein Tea, we’re shining a spotlight on one of the most powerful (and wildly misunderstood) plants in the herbal wellness world: common mullein (Verbascum thapsus). Often overlooked as a roadside w**d, this soft, silvery leaf is actually a legendary respiratory tonic that acts as both a soothing protector for scratchy throats and a natural expectorant to help clear out stubborn congestion.

We’ve put together a complete guide covering exactly why your lungs love this gentle giant, along with our favorite brewing secrets—including a simple overnight cold-infusion technique that is an absolute game-changer for dry, hacking coughs.

Tap the photo to read the full post and discover how to brew the perfect cup of mullein tea!

NBN Homestead LLC Farmstand OPEN this weekend!

We’ve missed connecting with you, which is why we are so incredibly excited to finally throw open the doors to the NBN Farmstand once again! To make stocking up on your favorite wellness essentials easier than ever, we've updated our online ordering system so you can browse, reserve your herbal goods ahead of time, and enjoy a quick, convenient pickup right here at our Farmstand. Eat the invasives to save the woodlands! 🌿🍲

This is a favorite at our : Wild Garlic Mustard and Leek Soup. Garlic mustard may be a pesky invasive plant that crowds out our native wildflowers, but it’s also an "incredible edible" with a bold, garlicky punch and a hint of sweetness.

We’ve paired it with buttery leeks, a splash of dry white wine, and a silky finish of cream and eggs for a soup that’s as sophisticated as it is sustainable. It’s the perfect way to realign with the natural world—one bowl at a time.

Head to the link in our bio to grab the full recipe and learn more about how the Free Range Kids at the Nurturer By Nature Homestead School are identifying these plants in the wild! 🌲✨

Forage, Brew, & Bottle
Your Summer Solstice Magic
Saturday, May 9, 2026
11am - 1pm

Step into the circle where the garden meets the cauldron. In this immersive session, we will practice the art of Upcycled Alchemy, blending the ancient wisdom of the hedge-witch with the precision of a master mixologist. We aren’t just making drinks; we are bottling the shifting energy of the seasons through the lens of Kitchen Witchery.

As the wheel of the year turns toward the light, we will gather to forage, infuse, and manifest three distinct botanical preparations.

The Ritual of Crafting

🌿The Green Spirit: Spring Cleansing Tonic
We will go "root-to-rim," identifying and harvesting Cleavers—those sticky, tenacious wanderers of the garden. You’ll learn to cold-infuse their vibrant green essence into a tonic designed to awaken the body’s natural flow and sweep away the lingering shadows of winter.

🌿The Hearth & Breath: Allergy Relief Tea
A lesson in the "Wisdom of the Leaves." We will blend dried botanicals to create a protective infusion for the respiratory system, crafting a tea that calms the senses and guards against the chaotic pollens of the blooming world.

🌿The Sun-Stroked Spirit: Summer Solstice Bitters
We begin a slow-magic maceration to honor the coming peak of the sun. Using a base of Rose Petals, Lemon Balm, and Mint, we’ll layer flavors that will sit in darkness for weeks, maturing in complexity until they are ready to be strained and celebrated on the longest day of the year.

Your Handcrafted Bounty
Each participant will depart with their own Apothecary Kit, containing the fruits of our collective work:

✨Freshly Infused Cleaver Tonic (A vibrant draught for immediate renewal)
✨Hand-Blended Allergy Relief Tea (Loose-leaf charms for clear breathing)
✨Summer Solstice Bitters (A maceration in progress, ready for your Solstice rituals)

Practical Magic: Please bring your favorite garden shears and a gathering basket. Wear sturdy boots for our foraging walk through the wilder corners of the landscape.

Join us as we bridge the gap between the wild earth and the glass. This is an invitation to anyone looking to deepen their connection to the land and master the craft of botanical spirits.

My primary goal is to ensure these workshops are as inclusive and welcoming as possible for our entire community. I believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of growth and connection, which is why I am introducing a sliding fee scale ranging from $25 to $35. This flexible pricing model allows participants to choose the contribution level that best aligns with their current circumstances, ensuring that our shared space remains diverse, accessible, and centered on mutual support.

I hope you can join us! Seating is limited for an intimate learning experience. Grab a spot and let's forage some magic together!

Cheers and Wild Wellness,

Angie
