Birth Justice means ensuring every birthing person, especially women of color, is treated with respect and dignity throughout their pregnancy and beyond. Our Red Birth Green (RBG) doula program is leading the way by addressing infant mortality through community-based care and traditional healing. We are incredibly proud to share that this approach has resulted in 84 births with zero deaths in 2025, directly contributing to Kalamazoo County achieving the best infant mortality rate in the state.
