This video and poster series celebrates the many ways Native people are building strong futures in Montana’s tribal communities-through education, skilled trades, apprenticeships, unions, entrepreneurship, certifications, and more.

We are honored to introduce you to:

Shadow’s journey from Charlo High School to the University of Montana and Montana Western reflects the power of pursuing new opportunities, continuing to learn, and creating a path forward. Their story is a reminder that there is no single route to success-every step toward developing skills, education, and confidence can make a difference.

Who is a Workforce Warrior in your life?

🎉 HAPPENING TODAY: The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes’ Workforce and Career Expo is underway at 400 Horses Casino in Polson from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.!!

Students, job seekers and anyone exploring their next career step are invited to meet employers and educators, take part in hands-on career exploration, and learn about available jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Commissioner Sarah Swanson was proud to help kick off the event this morning alongside MTDLI Tribal Liaison team members Donnie Wetzel, Alicia Doney and Donica Brady. Thank you to CSKT for creating this opportunity to connect Montanans with career pathways and the resources to build their futures!
