On Saturday, October 24, oncology professionals from across Montana will come together for the Oncology Nursing Society’s (ONS) Big Sky Chapter of Montana’s 2026 Fall Conference, with opportunities to participate in Billings, Kalispell and Bozeman, as well as virtually.
The conference will feature continuing education and discussion around some of the important issues oncology professionals encounter every day, including telephone triage, symptom management and communication; radiation therapy side effects; bowel-related side effects; genetics and genomics; and incivility in oncology nursing.
Logan Health is proud to have members of our team contributing their expertise. Carrie Thompson, NP will share updated in Genetics and Genomics. Gabby Johnson, NP, will present on radiation therapy side effect management, while John Erikson, NP, will discuss management of bowel-related side effects in cancer care.
For oncology professionals serving Montana’s rural and regional communities, opportunities like this help strengthen connections, share knowledge and bring new ideas back to the patients and families we serve.
Continuing education credits, breakfast and lunch are included with registration, with discounted pre-registration available through October 16.

🚗 Today is the day! Logan Health is joining our community partners today for a Car Seat Safety Check in Columbia Falls, and we want to see as many children in their car seats as possible!
📅 TODAY! Friday, September 25

📍 Columbia Falls Fire Station, 624 First Avenue West, Columbia Falls, MT
Bring your child, their car seat and the vehicle they normally ride in. Whether you're a new parent or have been using car seats for years, this is a great opportunity to have your installation checked, ask questions and learn how to properly restrain your child.
Help us spread the word! Tag a parent, grandparent or caregiver who could benefit from a car seat safety check. We hope to see you today!

During Child Passenger Safety Week, Logan Health is helping families identify common car seat safety mistakes, including:
🔹 A loose installation: Your car seat should not move more than one inch from side to side or front to back when checked at the belt path.
🔹 Incorrect harness positioning: Harness straps should be snug and positioned at the correct height for your child's seat and whether they are riding rear-facing or forward-facing.
🔹 An improperly positioned chest clip: The chest clip should rest at armpit level, not on your child's stomach or neck.
🔹 An incorrect recline angle: Rear-facing car seats must be reclined according to the manufacturer's instructions to help protect your child's head and airway.
🔹 A missed top tether: When using a forward-facing car seat with a harness, the top tether should be attached to the designated anchor to help limit forward movement in a crash.
Not sure if your child's car seat is installed correctly? Let us help!

🚗 Is your child's car seat as safe as it should be? Let's find out together!
This week is Child Passenger Safety Week, and Logan Health is joining the effort to help keep our youngest passengers safe on every journey!
Did you know that nearly half of all car seats are installed incorrectly? Even when a car seat appears secure, improper installation or an incorrectly positioned harness can put your child at risk in a crash.
Join Logan Health and our community partners for a Car Seat Safety Check in Columbia Falls! Our goal is to see as many children in their car seats as possible to help families identify potential safety concerns and ensure their children are properly restrained.

Today is a great day. Family, friends, her care team, and members of Montana's National Guard came together to celebrate 5-year-old Payton. Payton was shy at first, but she ran past her supporters and rang the end-of-treatment bell. Payton wanted a Little Mermaid-themed celebration. Her care team came together to decorate the table, and Dr. Friedman made a stunning cake! Doctors diagnosed Payton with a brain tumor in July of 2025. Since then, Payton has been receiving treatment at Logan Health Children's. We are happy to report that she no longer has a tumor! Help us in celebrating this wonderful news. Thank you, Little Wishes for your contribution.
