A September 10 press release from the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board announced that Arizona became the first state to issue multistate cosmetology licenses under the Cosmetology Licensure Compact.

“Effective today, eligible Arizona cosmetologists have a new pathway to practice across participating Compact states—removing administrative barriers and creating greater professional mobility,” said Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board Executive Director Frank Migali in a LinkedIn post.
