MANonFIRE is a Nazarene Compassionate Ministry committed to expressing the prevenient grace of God.

We do this by creating safe spaces for youth development so that young people can discover their gifts and serve others.

Days 3 & 4 🇹🇿❤️

The last two days have been full of moments we won’t soon forget.

Yesterday morning, we had the opportunity to visit a local public school. The environment was incredible, and one of the greatest privileges was sharing the Gospel with more than 300 students. We continue to be amazed at the doors God is opening.

Over the past two days we also:
• Returned to the preschool with art supplies and spent more time laughing, creating, and loving on the children.
• Traveled to Siwandeti Church of the Nazarene for a beautiful time of worship and fellowship.
• Blessed neighborhood children with toys and practical care.

Today was especially meaningful.

We took the children from Faraja Orphanage off campus for a special meal at a local restaurant. It wasn’t just about the food—it was about celebrating them, reminding them they are seen, loved, and deeply valued. Before we left, they surprised us with a special song that touched every heart on our team.

They sang, “God’s mercies overwhelm me. The visitors overwhelm me, because God’s mercies are with us.”

It’s hard to put into words what God is doing at Faraja Orphanage. These children have captured our hearts, and we have been overwhelmed by God’s goodness in this place. We came hoping to be a blessing, but once again, we are leaving each day realizing we have received just as much as we have given.

God is moving, and we’re grateful to be a small part of His work in Tanzania.

Day 2 in Arusha 🇹🇿

Today we had the opportunity to pick up and deliver food to the children at Faraja Orphanage. It was a simple reminder that meeting practical needs is one of the ways we get to share the love of Christ.

Later, we spent time with the kids, teaching the story of David and Goliath. We laughed, played games, and simply enjoyed being together. Some of the greatest moments of the day weren’t in the lesson—they were in the conversations, the smiles, the hugs, and the joy we shared.

Grateful for another day of serving, learning, and witnessing God’s love at work.

After nearly 36 hours of travel, we finally made it to Arusha, Tanzania!🇹🇿

Our first night ended with an incredible meal, and this morning we had the joy of reconnecting with some dear old friends.

One of the highlights of the day was spending time at the local Nazarene preschool. There is something special about laughing with kids, sharing smiles, and simply being present. We were also grateful for the opportunity to encourage and bless Leah, the preschool teacher, and Pastor Kachunga as they faithfully serve their community.

It’s only day one, and already we’re reminded that ministry is built on relationships. Excited to see all that God has in store this week. 🔥

One of the greatest blessings of our expansion is that MANonFIRE Training will continue in Bourbonnais!

We’re excited to introduce Elijah Tidwell as our new Lead Trainer for the Bourbonnais location.

Elijah is from Danville, Illinois, and has spent the last several years investing in the game as both a player and coach. He played collegiately at Lincoln Christian University and Olivet Nazarene University, where he earned his degree in Physical and Health Education. He has served as a Student Assistant with the Olivet Nazarene University Men’s Basketball program and is currently the Graduate Assistant for the Olivet Nazarene University Women’s Basketball program. He has also trained under Antonio Marshall through MANonFIRE and worked numerous youth basketball camps.

Elijah is passionate about developing athletes with strong fundamentals, a high basketball IQ, growing confidence, and Christ-centered character. We are excited to have him leading the next chapter of MANonFIRE in Bourbonnais.

If you’d like to continue training in Bourbonnais, please reach out or fill out our interest form. We can’t wait to see you in the gym!

Big news from MANonFIRE.

Over the past several months, we’ve been prayerfully discerning what the next five years of MANonFIRE should look like. As that vision became clearer, we knew a rebrand would be an important part of the journey—a reflection of where God is leading us next.

Then came the opportunity to expand.

What we had been discerning in private suddenly aligned with what God was opening in public.

Today, we’re excited to introduce a refreshed MANonFIRE—one that reflects not only a new look, but a renewed commitment to our mission.

This isn’t simply an expansion in location. It’s an expansion in mission, vision, and ex*****on. We’re believing God to open new doors, reach more people, and make an even greater impact in the years ahead.

The name remains the same. The calling remains the same. But the vision is growing.

Here’s to the next chapter of MANonFIRE. We’re just getting started🔥
