Today Heritage Woods of Sullivan celebrated one of the sweetest days of the year with classic root beer floats for everyone! There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a little nostalgia as our residents enjoyed this cool summertime treat together.

Sometimes it's the simple things that create the best memories, and today was definitely one of those days. Cheers to good friends, sweet treats, and making every moment count at Heritage Woods of Sullivan! ❤️

We are excited to finally announce that White Oaks at McHenry has been awarded the prestigious Memory Care Seal of Excellence by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). The distinction places White Oaks at McHenry among an elite group of providers in the Memory Care Excellence Network (MCEN), recognizing its outstanding commitment to person-centered dementia care and high operational standards.

The MCEN is a selective initiative designed to identify and support top-tier long-term care organizations. To earn inclusion, White Oaks at McHenry underwent a rigorous evaluation covering staff training, operational practices, and continuous competency in specialized memory care.

We are excited to share this excellence with our staff, residents, and family and friends!

Our incredible Resident Services Coordinators (Activity Directors) from across all regions gathered this week for an unforgettable retreat at Gardant, and it was nothing short of super!

Heroic Style: Everyone suited up in capes, with colors proudly representing their specific regions!

Special Guests & Partners: A huge thank you to Pair Up Promo for stopping by to customize Gardant bags with fun patches and chat about promotional needs, and to GOICON for providing fantastic training on the services available to our communities.

Professionalism: Carrey Hill, Regional Director of Engagement at Gardant, presented on Professionalism, what it means to have a great impression, while honoring our values at our communities.

Safety First: Chrisi Karcz shared invaluable insights on keeping both our residents and staff safe while utilizing transportation.
Fun & Recognition: We handed out exciting door prizes, celebrated our hard-working team with awards for various engagement categories, and enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring NYC Deli and gelato!

The arrival of Shark Week has sparked quite a reaction, as some people are clearly prepared for the excitement while others are feeling rather apprehensive about it at Grand Victorian of Crystal Lake. They have even managed to get Freddie involved in the festivities to join in on all the intense underwater action this week brings. We hope you have a Shark-Tastic week!
