This week, Head Start educators from across our community came together for Creative Curriculum training — building new skills to support high-quality early learning experiences for young children.

Nearly half a million public comments were submitted in response to proposed changes to federal grantmaking. Yet the proposal continues moving forward.

If implemented, these changes could significantly affect how nonprofit organizations access federal funding, with potential impacts on programs that serve children, families, and communities across the country. This includes right here in Kansas City.

The National Council of Nonprofits is encouraging supporters to participate in a National Call-In Day on Wednesday, July 29, urging Congress to take bipartisan action to protect nonprofit services.
