Project Eagle
At Project Eagle, we envision a community where children's futures are determined by their interests and dreams - not by their circumstances.
We respond to the particular needs of the community's youngest and most vulnerable children and their families. Through research-based programming and instructional support that develops early skills and nurtures the parent-child relationship, Project EAGLE staff provide a foundation for school readiness and strengthen family engagement. As one of 18 schools in the national Educare Learning Networ

Today, Project Eagle had the privilege of welcoming 18 undergraduate students from the Joint Education Institute of Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU) and the University of Kansas!
These future educators are spending the summer in Kansas learning about American education while completing enhancement courses through KU's School of Education. As part of their experience, they visited Project Eagle to learn about our comprehensive approach to early childhood education and family support. After completing their studies, these students will earn dual degrees from ZJNU and KU before beginning careers as teachers and researchers in China.
During their visit, our leadership team shared an overview of Project Eagle's programs, including our Home Visiting program and Educare Kansas City, highlighting the many ways we support children and families from pregnancy through age five.
The visit concluded with classroom observations, where the students experienced firsthand what high-quality early childhood education looks like in action. They had the opportunity to see meaningful teacher-child interactions, learning through play, family engagement, and the strong relationships that are at the heart of our work.
We are honored to share our work with future educators from around the world and hope they enjoyed their time at Project Eagle. We wish them all the best as they continue their studies and future careers in education! Rock Chalk!

✨ Our Project Eagle Talent Show was a joyful celebration of creativity, confidence, and community!
From singing and dancing to sharing unique talents, our children reminded us that every child has something special to offer. We were so proud of each child who stepped onto the stage and courageously shared their gifts with family, friends, and classmates.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening was watching children cheer one another on, encouraging their friends to be brave and take the stage. Seeing parents join in and share their own talents made the evening even more meaningful, reminding us that confidence grows through encouragement and that we all have something valuable to contribute, no matter our age.
Thank you to our amazing families and staff for making this special event possible. We loved celebrating the incredible talents of our Project Eagle community! ❤️🎭🎤

Project Eagle children recently enjoyed a special visit from What If Puppets, bringing stories, imagination, and interactive learning to life through engaging puppet performances.
Experiences like these help children strengthen important early literacy, language, and social-emotional skills while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and active participation. Through storytelling and play, children are able to connect with new ideas in ways that are both meaningful and memorable.
At Project Eagle, we value opportunities that make learning fun and inspire children to explore the world around them. We are grateful to What If Puppets for helping create an engaging experience that sparked laughter, learning, and imagination throughout our classrooms.
✨ What was your favorite story or puppet character growing up?

This week, members of our Project Eagle/Educare Kansas City community, including leadership team members, teachers, and parents, traveled to Tulsa for the Educare Network’s Catalyst 26 National Summit alongside early childhood leaders from across the country.
Throughout the week, we were reminded that meaningful change for children and families starts with strong relationships, supportive communities, and people willing to invest in the future of early childhood education.
One of the highlights of the week was the opportunity to visit Educare Tulsa and experience the incredible work happening in their classrooms and school community firsthand.
We left feeling inspired and hopeful about the impact of early childhood education. During the closing session, Harvard economist Dr. Raj Chetty shared research showing how high-quality early childhood experiences can shape lifelong success, opportunity, and stronger communities.
We are proud to be part of the Educare Network and grateful for a week filled with learning, connection, and inspiration. 💙

Creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning are part of everyday life in Project Eagle classrooms!
From creating paper mâché globes during Earth Week to exploring science through slime-making activities, our teachers work hard to create engaging learning experiences that encourage children to ask questions, problem solve, explore new ideas, and express their creativity.
These types of projects do so much more than keep children entertained. They help build language skills, teamwork, fine motor development, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are so thankful for the creativity and dedication our teachers bring to the classroom each and every day!
