Why I’ll Always Make Room for Vintage
I’ve always believed the most interesting homes aren’t filled with things that were all bought at once.

Vintage and antique pieces bring something new furnishings simply can’t—**history, character, and soul.** ❤

It doesn’t have to be a valuable antique, either. An old ironstone pitcher, a piece of art, vintage hardware or something completely unexpected can be the detail that makes a room feel collected rather than decorated.

I love mixing old with new and giving pieces from the past a new place to live.

It's All in the Details 🧐⭐
The finishing touches are what elevate a room from merely completed to truly polished. Elements like styling, artwork, plants, and the careful placement of those final pieces all contribute to how I bring a design together.

Trust Your Design Instincts ✨

Such a fun moment at Dallas Market meeting the incredibly talented Charlotte Moss during her book signing at Coco & Dash.

The most interesting spaces aren’t created by following every rule—they come from trusting your instincts. Mix the pattern. Add the unexpected color. Keep the antique that doesn’t perfectly “match.”

It’s those unexpected choices that give a home character, personality, and soul. 💕 Dallas Market | Coco & Dash | Charlotte Moss

Yes, You Can Mix Metals
Yes—you can mix metals. In fact, I prefer it.
Repeating a finish a few times gives it intention, while introducing another metal keeps the room from feeling overly coordinated. The trick is to create balance, not match everything.

Color Doesn't Have to Be Loud
Using color doesn't mean every element in the room needs to compete for attention.

I like to layer color in different values and textures, then give the eye plenty of quieter places to rest. That's what keeps a colorful room feeling sophisticated and livable. 🥰

A little Dallas Design Week inspiration ✨

A few days away from the studio with my Design Coordinator, taking in new introductions, beautiful showrooms, great conversations and plenty of inspiration at Dallas Market.

I’m always drawn to the details — interesting silhouettes, collected artwork, layers of pattern, beautiful lighting and pieces that make a room feel a little less expected.

Coming home inspired and with a few new ideas tucked away for future projects. 🤍

Fall is my favorite time of year to layer a home and bring in a little more warmth.

Transitioning for fall doesn’t mean filling your home with pumpkins and seasonal décor. For me, it’s about changing the space's feel.

Think richer textures, warm woods, natural elements, and deeper colors—olive, to***co, burgundy, chocolate, and warm cream.

A few pillows, a beautiful throw, natural branches, or warmer lighting can completely shift the mood.

The goal isn’t to decorate for fall—it’s to add enough warmth, texture, and depth that you can feel the season changing. 🍂

WHERE BEAUTY MEETS PERFORMANCE

For this multigenerational family, cooking is more than a daily routine—it is a pastime, a tradition, and a way they care for one another.

After comparing several options, the Wolf cooking suite became the clear choice and the kitchen's workhorse. Dual-stacked, sealed burners deliver up to 20,000 BTUs for high-heat searing, yet adjust down to 300 BTUs for delicate simmering and melting. Automatic reignition, substantial stainless-steel construction, and double ovens provide the control and flexibility needed to prepare several dishes at once.

We chose Wolf for its precision, durability, and ability to keep up with a family passionate about sharing food, recipes, and time together.

Beautifully designed—and built to be used.

THE MATERIALS BEHIND THE DESIGN

Spanish Revival interiors are known for their warmth, craftsmanship, and beautifully layered materials.

For this primary bathroom, we paired terracotta-toned decorative tile with richly grained wood cabinetry, natural stone, plaster-toned walls, and wrought-iron-inspired lighting. Each selection brings its own texture and character while working together to create a space that feels collected and timeless.

It is the mix—not any one material—that gives the room its depth.

DESIGNED—THEN LAYERED

I love creating spaces that feel collected over time. The finishing touches bring personality, history, and soul into a room—and that is where the design truly comes alive.
