So you want your little one to explore art materials but the messes make you cringe.
We’ve got you! 👍
All the fun. All the experience. All the mess. Not your house!
Join us for one of our toddler/preschool art classes. These are mommy & me style. (caregiver & me) One hour of open ended art and play opportunities. Developmentally appropriate.
We guide the class while mommy takes a break. Literally! You can leave the room & sip a cuppa & converse with other adults or read or whatever. But also - you can peek in, snap a pic, and pop back out.

Part One of our papier-mâché night was such a good time. Everyone was so creative with their designs. We have classic vintage pumpkins, owls, witches, gargoyles and even a buck! I can’t wait to see how all of these turn out. We also sipped warm apple c***r, snacked on sourdough deliciousness and had great conversations!
Stay tuned for the finished projects next week!

I cheated. I said I was going to try a new medium for this challenge and all the other weeks, I’ve used acrylic on very big paper. But, for this last prompt, hedgehogs and mushrooms, I was absolutely feeling watercolors. I saw something similar to this last fall and I wish I could remember the original post /artist. I actually sketched out three fat-bellied hedgehogs in hiking boots picking shroomies before painting this one. 🦔🍄🥾So, here you go.
The challenge is over. Thank you to all the hosts and creating these prompts for all of us nature nerds. 🌿 It was so fun. Maybe I’ll move on to a spooky season prompt next. Anyone want to share a fun prompt with me?

What an expected SOUL-FILLING day!
Kids Care KIDS CARE showed up with a creative crew of volunteers for a good cause! All these great bags stuffed with swag will be delivered to male first responders serving Cobb county. Thank you Amie & Jaida for organizing events like these!
Then my bonus kid (manchild) surprised me at the studio for a quick visit! I haven’t seen him in months!
Lastly, I had lunch with amazing friends (yes, I’m friends with 8 yr olds) and then took a little stroll on this gorgeous day.
When imagined what the artful rabbit could be, this is pretty close…. A place for the community. A place people want to be. And a place full of people who are shining big bright lights in the world.
Happy Friday!
Oops… forgot to post last week’s challenge: starling & blackberries. I’m not sure I’m getting any better but I am still having fun. And I thought the gold was a fun touch to the starling.
