Summer is our riggers’ busiest season!
Our crews are hard at work renovating theaters and installing permanent rigging systems that help keep performance spaces safe, reliable, and ready for years of performances.
From structural modifications and custom fabrication to permanent rigging installation, every project is engineered to meet the unique needs of each venue. It’s the work most audiences never see—but every performance depends on it.
We’re proud to partner with schools, universities, performing arts centers, casinos, hotels, and theaters to build and maintain the infrastructure that supports live entertainment.

From concept to reality.
We were proud to partner with to engineer and install the truss structure supporting Andy Arkley's Into the Magic Land.
Large-scale public art doesn't just require creativity—it requires thoughtful engineering, precise rigging, and a team that understands how to safely bring ambitious ideas to life.
Seeing the process is one of our favorite parts. Every connection, measurement, and lift contributes to the finished experience.
Thank you to and for trusting BLS with this project.

Happy Seattle Pride! 🏳️🌈
We’re proud to be an LGBTQIA+-owned business creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
It was an honor to help light up Pioneer Square for the FIFA Pride Match and celebrate the diversity, creativity, and community that make Seattle so special.
At BLS, inclusion isn’t just something we celebrate in June—it’s part of how we work every day. We proudly support q***r, BIPOC, and underrepresented artists, designers, technicians, and creative professionals, and we’re committed to building an industry where everyone has the opportunity to shine.
Happy Pride, Seattle. 🌈

15 hours a day. 364 days a year.
That’s the kind of workload behind the lighting operations at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
When a facility operates at that scale, every detail matters - from fixtures and lamps to hardware, accessories, consumables, and the everyday production supplies that keep things running.
We’re proud that the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum relies on BLS as a supplier for lighting equipment and event production essentials.
The Smithsonian is one of many museums, performing arts centers, convention venues, government agencies, and public institutions that count on BLS every day.
And that’s a responsibility we never take lightly.

When the aquarium closes, our work begins. 🌃
As the sun sets over Seattle, the lifts go up inside the Seattle Aquarium. Our rigging team recently completed the annual inspection and testing of the ETC hoists and rigging systems — an overnight effort focused on safety, reliability, and performance.
It’s the kind of work guests never see… but it’s what keeps the experience running flawlessly day after day.
Behind every seamless show system is a team making it happen after hours.

Today is DMX Day — a nod to the technology that controls lighting and effects in concerts, theaters, attractions, museums, and immersive experiences all over the world. 🎛️💡
If you’ve ever watched lights move perfectly with music, color shifts transform a space, or a show moment hit at exactly the right second… there’s a good chance DMX was behind it.
It’s one of the invisible systems that helps turn ideas into experiences — and we’re proud to work with it every day.
