May 4th Task Force

This May 4th Monday, we remind you that voter registration in Ohio ends on October 5. There are important issues on the ballot in Kent, so we urge you to get registered and make your voice heard!

Curious to learn more about May 4th? The Task Force is showing Fire In the Heartland, a documentary about the tragedy, on September 22 in the Students Center. Free snacks and drinks will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Unlike last year, the Task Force will hold meetings in Taylor Hall this year. We hope to see you at our first meeting, and long live the spirit of Kent and Jackson State ☮️

The things we’ve achieved this year with the help of our community ensure the Task Force will never fade. At yesterday’s commemoration, students, alumni, and others united to remember the lives lost on May 4th 1970. We thank you for attending and hope to see you next year.
