Hazelmade

We're packing the van and getting ready to head to Rhineback, NY to showcase Hazelmade at Country Living Fair, hosted by the one and only Country Living Magazine.

Find Hazelmade in Barn 38 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.

I couldn't be more excited to head to the gorgeous Hudson Valley for this event.

This month we are at in downtown Kent with a free Take a Note, Leave a Note station.

It's simple. Grab one of our Mini Note Cards, write a message to a stranger and grab a message for yourself. Only a few days left so stop by Scribbles, get a special beverage and a little uplifting message from a stranger.

As summer comes to an end, don't let the next season overwrite the last.

Here's your chance to linger in the memories, to turn a moment into something you can hold. Whether it's a collage of summer scraps or a photograph you print and frame, turn the fleeting into the tangible.

Set aside the time. Collect the materials. Let go of the plan. Make something with your hands.

Because our first Collage Card Workshop was such a success, we are hosting a second one, this time at Bell Tower Brewing Co. on Thursday, October 15.

Join Susan Hazel to create your own collage greeting cards. This FREE workshop includes:

✉️ 2 blank greeting cards as the base of your collage
✉️ Magazines and collage materials
✉️ Instructions and guidance from artist and Hazelmade founder Susan Hazel Rich
✉️ Time to play and create

Join us on Thursday, October 15 from 6-8PM. Registration required. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/create-your-own-collage-greeting-card-tickets-2001401801665

My goal this year was to post monthly recaps. I'm really loving this use of social media, a way to slow down for a minute and think about the past 30 days.

August was full of flowers, specifically my favorite flower, marigolds. I started the month with a stop by .acre.flowers, whose flower cart bouquets never disappoint. We filled the mini van with plants for our garden and landscape at the new house. A friend dropped off a welcome-to-the-neighborhood gift of the most glorious marigolds. There was a tough week when I didn't have all these farm florals and did treat myself to a grocery store bouquet, which was pretty, but not as joyful as the marigolds. I peeled back the painters tape as I finished my floral mural. Meal prep was extra colorful, with more flowers in view.

A few more from our trip to Chicago last month. No, these aren't shot on film. Turns out wildfire smoke makes for an interesting filter.

In case you missed it, we did a thing and it's beautiful. 🎁

When in doubt, use the good paper, tie the bow, and absolutely go for the extra details.
