Celebrating our August Students of the Month!

Yesterday, our outstanding students enjoyed a well-deserved off-campus lunch and dessert treat to celebrate their hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment to being great members of our school community!

We also loved having our 8th grade office aides join in on the fun, as well as Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Shofler.

Cross country season is officially here—which means running fast for fun is back on the menu! Massive shoutout to our Warriors who left it all on the course. Colton Rudd took home 1st place 🏆, Rhett Treat brought home some hardware with a 15th place medal 🎖️, and the rest of the crew ran their hearts out to start the year strong. Way to set the bar high for the rest of the season, team! 🔥

Congratulations to the Ketchum Middle School Oklahoma Teacher Empowerment Grant (OTEP) recipients Brynn Thomas and Sarah Shofler! These educators exemplify excellence in our building as strong leaders who drive student growth, demonstrate outstanding teaching practices in the classroom, and consistently earn high scores in administrative observations. They represent the very best of our teaching profession. Go Warriors! 💙

Congratulations to Sarah Shofler, Chasity Hayes, Kristin Shofler, Brynn Thomas and Kelsi Lancaster, this years recipients of the Oklahoma Teacher Teacher Empowerment Grant! They are pictured with school board members Willie Evans and Justin Burks on the far left and Melanie Adams and Ryan Rogers on the far right. OTEP grant recipients must meet a set of rigorous criteria to qualify, such as providing evidence of student growth, additional professional development attendance, assuming leadership roles, and attaining a specified total on the Teacher Leadership Evaluation Tool. They will receive either $5,000 or $7,500 from the State Department, depending on their length of service at KPS!
