for the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion in Dayton.
In an award-winning career spanning more than 40 years, Karl Keith
has an extensive background in local government and public service. Appointed Montgomery County Auditor to fill an unexpired term in
December 2000, voters since have elected Keith to serve five full
terms, most recently in 2018. Keith is a recognized leader at the national, state and local levels for
his achievements in developing innovative initiatives to make
government more responsive, more transparent and more accessible
to the public. His peers named him Ohio’s “Outstanding County
Auditor” in 2012, and Keith is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement
Award from the Ohio Government Finance Officers Association as
well as the Montgomery County Democratic Party. Auditor Keith has held numerous leadership positions in the County
Auditors Association and he is a past president of the association. He served two terms on the Ashland University Alumni Board of
Directors that included a year as president of the Board, and he
recently received a Distinguished Service Award from the AU Alumni
Board. A Certified Cash Manager, Auditor Keith earned a bachelor’s degree
in political science from Ashland College and a master’s degree in
political science from Miami University. He and his wife, Doris, reside
in the City of Dayton.

Our last Community Forum to share details and answer questions about this year's revaluation project was held in the city of Trotwood. We were pleased to have Mayor Page and Vice Mayor Brown join us along with other city officials and community members. We were able to assist a number of individuals in addition to good conversations.

Members of my staff and I are taking advantage of every opportunity we can to spread the word and answer questions about the Homestead Exemption tax break and next year's one-time bonus. Recently I spoke to the WATTS Business Association and the Belmont, Eastmont, Hearthstone Neighborhood Association. Director of Finance Mike Brill spoke to the Twin Towers Neighborhood Association. Working hard to share the details about this program.

Great turnout and lots of fun at Belmont Days including a performance by the Belmont High School Mighty Marching Bison. I was pleased to be able to serve as emcee and DJ once again and enjoyed spending the afternoon with many of my friends and neighbors.

The Auditor's Office participated in the Older Adults Symposium at the Kroc Center in Dayton. We were happy to be one of the sponsors and spend the morning sharing information and answering questions about the Homestead Exemption program and next year's one-time bonus.

Back in the City of Brookville, OH today to speak at the city's Lunch and Learn program. Honored to be the guest speaker again and to be able to share the latest on the Homestead Exemption program and next year's bonus. We even identified a couple of new applicants. Great turnout, too.

Attended a Valley View Local School District Board of Education meeting where I was asked to share some remarks and answer questions about the real estate market, property values and the Homestead Exemption program.
