Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 13 from 5:30–7:30 PM because Kettering Heights Post Acute is throwing one of the BIGGEST and BEST Trunk or Treat events around! 🍬🍫🚗🎃

And we’re not kidding when we say we’re bringing ALL the Halloween fun! 👇

👻 HAUNTED BUS – because a regular bus just wasn’t creepy enough! 🚌😱
🚫👻 THE GHOSTBUSTERS – yes, THE Ghostbusters! And they’re bringing their cool equipment and vehicles! 🚒👻
🐐🐰 PETTING ZOO – because of course we need adorable animals at our Halloween party too! 😂
🚔 KETTERING POLICE DEPARTMENT – keeping things safe while the rest of us get our spooky on!
🎃 SPOOKY-THEMED AREAS – outside AND throughout the building! There will be plenty to explore! 👀🕷️🕸️
🍕🌭 FREE FOOD FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY – because seriously… WHO WANTS TO GO HOME AND COOK AFTER TRICK-OR-TREATING?! 😂🙌
🍬🍭🍫 AND CANDY. LOTS AND LOTS OF CANDY.

We had a HUGE crowd last year, and we're expecting another Halloween invasion this year! 🎃👻 So bring the kids, bring your friends, bring your neighbors, and come ready for an evening of FREE family fun, food, spooky surprises, and enough candy to make your dentist nervous. 😂🦷🍫

During Mental Illness Awareness Week, we're recognizing the important role activities play in supporting emotional well-being.

Whether it's sharing a new skill, exploring a favorite hobby, or participating in a group program, staying engaged can help residents feel connected, purposeful, and supported.

At Kettering Heights Post Acute, supporting mental wellness is part of the care we provide.

We’ve began celebrating fall by creating hand made bird feeders (and likely squirrels too 😂). By using pine cones, peanut butter and bird seed our Residents created these neat and delicious smelling feeders for our tiny winged friends to enjoy. What is your favorite hobby during the fall season? Ours is anything involving pumpkins or apple c***r!

Did you know? Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, but early detection can make a significant difference. Regular screenings, self-awareness, and conversations with your healthcare provider are important steps in protecting your health.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're encouraging everyone to wear pink, learn the signs, and support those affected by breast cancer.

Our Trunk or Treat is coming up, and we’re expecting plenty of little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses, and professional candy collectors! 🍭😂

We are kindly asking our professional contacts, community partners, and friends to help us fill our candy stash. Because let’s be honest… there is no such thing as “too much candy” when it comes to Trunk or Treat! 😉

Every bag of candy helps us keep those little treat bags full—and helps prevent a potential “We’re out of candy!” emergency. Nobody wants to be responsible for that kind of Halloween crisis. 😂🍬

Today we thanked and shared our appreciation for our Therapy Department with a Pancake Bar! 🥞 Our staff and residents enjoyed the sweet smell of freshly cooked pancakes and toppings. We ended the day with an impromptu game of “hot potato ball” which had us all laughing away the afternoon!

🚨 THE GHOSTBUSTERS! They’re bringing their awesome equipment and vehicles! Ghosts, beware… and please have your paranormal paperwork ready. 😂

🐐 A PETTING ZOO! Come meet some adorable furry friends! Because apparently Halloween needed more animals, and honestly, we support that decision.

🚌 A HAUNTED BUS! For those who enjoy being scared in a confined space. 😱 Enter at your own risk… and maybe bring a brave friend. Or someone who owes you a favor.

🍔 FREE FOOD FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Come hungry! We’ll bring the food, you bring the appetite. Calories don’t count when you’re wearing a costume. That’s just science. 😉

🕸️ THE INSIDE OF OUR BUILDING WILL BE DECORATED TOO! Different areas will have different Halloween themes, so there will be plenty to explore! Even if you survive the haunted bus, there’s still more spooky fun waiting inside! 🎃

🧡 LAST YEAR, WE HAD CLOSE TO AN ESTIMATED 1,000 PEOPLE JOIN US! 😲

That’s almost 1,000 people, approximately 4,000 costume ideas, and enough candy excitement to make a dentist somewhere nervous. 🦷😂

We had an AMAZING turnout last year, and we can’t wait to do it all over again!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY! Invite your neighbors, your friends, your coworkers, and that one person who starts decorating for Halloween in July. We know you have one. 😂

Costumes are encouraged. Screaming is acceptable. Candy hoarding… well, we’ll try not to judge. 🍬🤣
