A 44-year-old Key Largo, Florida man with a hammer was arrested on June 18, 2026, for threatening Deputies. There were no injuries reported.

Emilio Jose Molina was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, threatening to harm law enforcement officers.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to Marina Avenue in Key Largo at approximately 7:30 a.m. after a witness reported a man, identified as Molina, was stumbling down the street and pointing his middle finger at people while waiving a hammer.

Molina had trouble standing when the Sheriff’s Office arrived. He refused lawful commands to stop reaching into his pockets. Molina refused to provide his name. He repeatedly swore at Deputies, used racial slurs, and refused to put his hands behind his back. He also told Deputies he would break their heads open.

Molina was medically cleared at Mariners Hospital in Tavernier and then taken to jail.

A 50-year-old Umatilla, Florida man was arrested on June 17, 2026, after following Publix customers around in Marathon while armed with a knife, prompting fear from those at the store. There were no injuries reported.

John Paul Roberts was charged with stalking, disturbing the peace, and obstruction for failure to identify himself to law enforcement.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to the grocery store at approximately 7 p.m. where multiple customers and an employee stated Roberts would make eye contact with customers and then follow them around the store or out to their vehicles for unknown reasons. He had a knife sheathed on his person. One customer ran from the store and Roberts continued to follow him. Another customer stated Roberts was kicking and swatting chickens outside the store.

Roberts refused to identify himself and explain his actions to the Sheriff’s Office. Security video corroborated the victims’ statements. Roberts was taken to jail.

A 49-year-old Mount Dora, Florida man was arrested on June 17, 2026, after exposing himself to passing traffic on U.S. 1.

Jeremiah Michael Armsey was charged with disturbing the peace and giving a false name to law enforcement.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to Mile Marker 106 at approximately 9:28 a.m. after receiving reports that a shirtless man was pulling his pants down and exposing himself to motorists. The suspect was quickly found. He provided a fake name.

Armsey was taken to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier where he was medically cleared and then to jail.
