𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. 𝗢𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟴𝟵𝟳. 🤍
Judge Vining Harris and his wife, Florida Curry Harris, built an oceanfront mansion as their private home. In this rare family photograph, they sit beneath the palms in their finest clothes, with a four-legged family members joining the portrait (one who can't seem to sit still.) 🐾
The home they built was anything but ordinary. At the time, the home had just one bedroom, yet offered grand spaces for gathering, stained glass windows, two-story balconies, and sweeping ocean views.
Today, it’s easy to admire Southernmost House for its architecture. This photograph reminds us that it was a home first: a place where the Harris family lived, gathered, and made memories long before we began welcoming guests through its doors. 🌴
