I’m excited about this exhibit! The gallery space at Old Bakery & Emporium is gorgeous with stone walls and high ceilings that really show off the art! I’m doing this show with abstract quilt artist Sherri Lipman McCauley.

“Whispers of Georgia”, fresh off the longarm! Will do a little more painting on it before finishing the edges.

“Mountain Meadow”, my newest Art Quilt. I started it in 2022. It’s a scene in Rocky Mt National Park. I paint shadows and small details on my quilts(with textile paints, mainly transparent ones) to increase the visual depth. Here are some photos of before, during, and after painting. Some was done before the quilting, some after. It’s approximately 42” x 32”. I haven’t finished the edges yet.

Just finished the stitching and removed it from the longarm!!! I’m going to do some more painting on the fabric surface to create more details and visual depth.

I’m painting the Sky on this art quilt made of fabric with Pebeo Seta Color transparent Textile Paints.

Working back and forth on these two. “Mountain Meadow” on the longarm, “Whispers of Georgia” on the design wall for painting of shadows and small details.

“Whispers of Georgia” is now up on my design wall. I started this one a few years back. I can work on this one when I need a break from working on the longarm. It’s approximately 33”x46”.
