Maple and Zara continue to amaze us with their progress! ❤️🐴

When we first shared their training journey, these two girls were learning the ropes—ponying out on the trails, navigating the obstacle course, and beginning their conditioning and lunging work. Today, we’re thrilled to share an exciting milestone:

Maple and Zara have both officially been started under saddle! 🎉

They are now riding in both the arena and out on the trails, continuing to build confidence, balance, responsiveness, and trust with every ride. Seeing how far they have come is truly incredible.

Their journey from rescue horses to confident riding partners takes time, patience, skilled training, and—most importantly—continued support. Every step forward represents an investment in their future and the opportunity to help these beautiful girls reach their full potential.

🐴✨We’re delighted to welcome Rachel with Balancing Point- Osteopathic Equine Body Work & Training to the Ranch on Monday, 24 August, for a day of equine osteopathy appointments.

Equine osteopathy can be a valuable part of supporting a horse’s overall comfort, mobility, balance and physical wellbeing. Treatments are tailored to each individual horse, with the aim of identifying and addressing areas of tension, restriction or imbalance.

If your horse could benefit from a treatment, or you’d simply like to have them assessed, appointments are available. If you’d like to make an appointment, please send us a message and we’ll be happy to arrange a time.

We’re looking forward to having Rachel back at the Ranch and helping our horses feel their best! 💕🐴

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Jessie Heinrick with for coming out and taking care of our horses’ dental needs. We greatly appreciate the time and expertise she puts into keeping our horses healthy and comfortable.
Routine dental care is an important part of responsible horse ownership and plays a key role in their overall health, comfort, and ability to properly eat and utilize their feed.

As part of our training program, we also like to have our horses’ teeth examined and floated before starting them under saddle. Addressing dental needs early helps ensure that discomfort or dental issues aren’t contributing to resistance or other challenges once training begins. Starting with a comfortable, healthy horse gives us the best foundation for a positive training experience.

Well, things have been busy here at the Ranch, and somewhere along the way I got a little behind on sharing updates about some of our training horses and the progress they’ve made over the past month! So, this week, I’m going to play a little catch-up and introduce you to some of the horses we’ve had the pleasure of working with.
We’re going to start with Gus and Shadow, two beautiful Arabian geldings who came to the Ranch to begin their journey under saddle.
Both boys have been making some great progress in their training. We’ve spent time building a solid foundation in the round pen, working on communication, responsiveness, and developing confidence both on the ground and under saddle. From there, we’ve started taking our training outside of the arena and onto the trails.
Gus and Shadow each have their own unique personalities, and that’s one of the things that makes working with them so much fun. They may be different in their individual ways, but both have been willing learners and have given us plenty to enjoy along the way.
It’s always rewarding to watch a young or inexperienced horse gain confidence, learn to trust their rider, and begin to understand what is being asked of them. We’re excited about the progress these two have made so far and look forward to continuing to build on their foundation as their training progresses.

Maple and Zara are off to a fantastic start in their training with us! 🌟

These two have been settling in beautifully and are already making great progress. They've been ponying out on the trails to build confidence and gain valuable exposure to new environments. They've also been working through our obstacle course, taking on new challenges with curiosity and growing confidence every day.

We're also introducing basic lunging as part of their conditioning program, helping them build strength, balance, and responsiveness while laying a solid foundation for their future training.

It's been so rewarding to watch these girls learn, grow, and gain confidence with each session. We can't wait to see what they accomplish over the coming weeks! ❤️🐴 Rescue to Rockstar!

💦🐴 Shout out to Sasquatch HI-MT Water, Inc for coming out to fill the water obstacles! Now is the perfect time to come practice and get your horses feet wet. So for the first time we are opening the course for the whole week! 🐴💦

These sweet girls recently arrived through Silent Wave Horse Rescue and are beginning their journey of conditioning, training, and a whole lot of love.

Introducing Zara (the bay) and Maple (the buckskin)! 🤎💛 We can’t wait to watch their confidence grow, their personalities shine, and see just how much they blossom in the months ahead.

💕Homed💕Whiskey is looking for a new riding partner!Whiskey is a 4 yr Warm Springs Mustang filly, 14.2-3H. Broke to ride for arena and trails, training has been done by a youth under trainer supervision. Works well in the bridle and moves off leg. Will cross water, logs, bridges, brush, ground poles, tires, tarps, etc. Stands tied, both to a rail and cross ties, great for the farrier, loads and hauls well. Sane, healthy and sound. Whiskey would make a nice youth, 4-h, OHSET or trail horse. Located in La Pine. Mid x, # # #
