CRESCENT BUTTE FIRE HAS REDUCED ALL LEVELS TO LEVEL 1
Oregon Outback and all other crews on standby have been released from Standby.
Crescent Butte Fire is happening NOW, Crescent and Gilchrist are on Level 2.
Fire behind Walker Range Dept.
Please stay cautious and aware!
At this time we are in no danger however, we all know how quickly this can change.
Charge your devices and be prepared to lose power if the fire travels further down.
OORFPD is ready to respond if needed but, will have staff staying within our district to protect if anything happens here.

OORFPD Board Meeting and Training Day! When we attempted to draft water in one of our trucks, the pump seized up! YIKES! 😬
Luckily, the guys had the skill and the time to get it replaced with a spare pump to get 1442 back into service ASAP!
Big thanks to our Volunteers that had time to attend and help out today! 💪🏻
Next Board Meeting is scheduled for 9/9/26 6pm @ The Firehall on Beal 📆

Today we issue a reminder that you may try to go off in the woods off some dirt road to have a fire, shoot some guns and have some beers and think no one will know…
In time, it will be discovered! Whether it be a Fire Patrol spotting evidence, a lookout spotting smoke, or a plane catching something suspicious to have looked into by ground staff…
Save yourself the ticket, save our woods and community from the risk, and DO NOT HAVE A CAMPFIRE!!!
Also, not a smart idea to use any type or aerosol can as shooting target ❌
A reminder for all!
Please keep in mind that if a fire ignites ANYWHERE in our District, calling 911 is the only way to ensure the fire is handled and stopped properly and as fast as possible.
Calling property owners and letting them know, as to “not get them in trouble” can easily lead to our community being IN TROUBLE and AT RISK.
We also request that you stay off the property, especially after Fire Staff have arrived on scene. Please don’t make us have to ask you to remove yourself from the property. Please don’t park nearby to watch, you can be impeding the scene and access for other Fire Staff that may be arriving.
We have been VERY lucky thus far this season and want to keep it that way!
Keep your eyes peeled and never hesitate to call a fire in!
We appreciate everyone for doing their part in keeping our community safe!
Tree down on Powerline on Greenwood towards Cedarwood. Oregon Outback on scene, MidState has been dispatched.
Please avoid the area.
