We are beyond grateful to Camp Happy Days for everything they do for families like ours and for shining a light on childhood cancer. ❤️

Our sweet friend Luke!! 💙

We knew of each other and had been internet friends through our boys’ cancer journeys, but when we found out we’d be on the same cruise together, Luke’s mom Allie and I started talking nonstop as we got ready for our first cruise! 😂 It was so special to finally hang out in person, spend time together, and watch these boys live life, laugh, and make the sweetest memories side by side.

So thankful this journey brought our families together and turned internet friends into real-life friends. We know this is a friendship that will last a lifetime!

Make-A-Wish South Carolina

This trip was extra cool because we lucked out and knew a local family on the cruise! What made it even more special was that it was his Make-A-Wish trip too! Luke’s sweet friend, Travis Strong, battled cancer and kicked its butt too!

I loved getting to see them play, laugh, and just enjoy being KIDS together. After everything these two have been through, watching them make memories and experience a little bit of magic together was so incredibly special!

We are so thankful Make-A-Wish South Carolina gave Luke this incredible experience, and even more thankful we got to share a piece of it with such a sweet family!!

Two strong boys. Two incredible journeys. So many more memories to make.

We love you, Travis! Here’s to a lifetime of adventures and making up for all the childhood these boys had to fight so hard for. 💙

Travis’s Make-A-Wish trip!! August 24-28, 2026, a DISNEY CRUISE!!!

Thank you Make-A-Wish for an amazing week. We were so spoiled the entire week!! We made the sweetest memories, and got to watch Travis experience so much MAGIC!

After everything he has been through, seeing him smile, have fun, and just be a kid was truly priceless. We will forever be grateful to Make-A-Wish for giving our family this incredible experience.

Make-A-Wish South Carolina

Travis had his routine scans and bloodwork yesterday, and we’re so happy to share that his scans were clear and his bloodwork looked great!

Since having his port removed in March, yesterday was his first time getting bloodwork through an IV in his arm instead. I was honestly really nervous going in, but Travis did absolutely amazing. He sat still as a statue the entire time and handled it like a champ. We were all so impressed and proud of him.

Just 2 more weeks of kindergarten for this guy! Then summer break, Travis’s make a wish trip is also happening this summer and we cannot wait to share!

P.S. Travis cut his hair at school so that’s why it looks a little choppy in the front🤪

Travis is having his port surgically removed today. His port is a small device that was placed below his collarbone just two days after his diagnosis in January 2024. It has been accessed with a needle for medications, blood draws, and transfusions at every doctor visit. Today, for the first time ever, we walked in without Travis having to worry about getting a needle stuck in his chest. Taking his port out also means that if he gets a fever, we no longer have to rush to the emergency room within one hour for antibiotics through his port.

When we went to the operating room, he requested to be put to sleep to SpongeBob SquarePants music and his request was met with dancing nurses! Praying for Travis, the surgery, hands of the surgeons, and a quick recovery!

As I am typing this, the surgeon came to let me know everything went smoothly and they’re stitching up the small 1 inch incision now!

Travis graduated from physical therapy!! He’s seen Mrs. Caitlyn every single week since July 2024, We’re so excited he’s officially done with PT, but definitely going to miss seeing Mrs. Caitlyn every week! 💛

We are at Scoop 50Fifty Ice Cream Shop, so that means CLEAR SCANS!!! Travis is officially CANCER FREE!! He beat cancers ass like we all knew he would!!!! Prayers and strength got us through this long 2+ year journey. We truly couldn’t have done this without God and our incredible support system. We feel beyond blessed and so grateful. 🙏

Next step is port removal surgery in March!

All checked in for Travis’s scan today!

Praying for clear results so we can move forward with scheduling his port removal surgery. Once his port is out, he’ll have no more restrictions and can transition back to his regular pediatrician for care.

He’ll still continue scans every 12 weeks, but getting the port removed will be such a big milestone for him. 💛 Travis is also repping his MD Anderson Cancer Center T shirt today ❤️🎗️

December was full of joy for Travis as he turned 6!

Last year, we rang in 2025 from a hospital room by his side. This year, we welcomed the New Year popping fireworks with friends!

On January 3, 2026, marking two years since his cancer diagnosis, we celebrated his 6th birthday with a movie theater party. So grateful for these moments. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” 🎉🎗️🎄
