Lights!!! And the beginning of the rail!
If you’re looking for a dramatic, crazy c**t starting drama - scroll on by - this one is happily void of drama! This is a 2 minute excerpt of Culprit’s first “real” ride by hallee_akins with the help of Megan riding Posh for Culprit to follow. Typically I start them on the lunge line for this first ride to reinforce the go forward cues, but Culprit has been easy to move out all along, so we gave it a try without the lunge line and he didn’t need any help moving forward! Posh was helpful but he didn’t need to follow her very long either.
Hallee worked with c**ts a lot over the years at a ranch near her house in Spokane. So she’s confident which is crucial. Hallee has been here one week, messing with Culprit and gaining his trust. She’s been sitting on him ba****ck, flexing him and wandering ba****ck around the pasture.
Years ago I heard an old timer horse trainer say you’d better be loping by the 3rd ride. Excited that we checked that box on the first real ride ✅! I’m not really surprised considering slickjustice was very easy to start as well. Hallee said Culprit felt smooth and easy just like his Dad. 🤠

It was so exciting today to give the first lesson ever on a slickjustice c**t! He’s had a fabulous start by ishadaniele and a very bright future ahead with grandma_chylene! 💙
When your baby brain had a hard lesson and Dad offers some comfort!
Rehab My Horse has been taping Rookie’s hocks for competition for a couple of years and it definitely makes a difference in her performance! Kerry Egelstad puts on great clinics and loves sharing her knowledge as well ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to jessab711 for inviting me out to spend an evening with the Twin River Equestrian Team. Two sessions of 13 riders each session was definitely the largest group I have ever presented to and an exciting new challenge for me. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share some ideas with your talented team and look forward to following their WAHSET competition season!

If a barn is a sanctuary in an unsettled world I think we are building one in proportion to the depth of unsettledness in so many hearts recently.
It is my prayer that people will be drawn here to experience the basic goodness of humanity combined with an appreciation for life itself through their partnership with horses.
I hope it’s a place you leave your political views, stress over things you cannot control, and your phone in the truck and unload your sense of peace and purpose from the trailer. Where you’re too busy loping to scroll. Where 4 legs are turning instead of your anxiety.
I am more excited than ever about building a barn and I hope you’ll come ride here with me soon.
