Shamrock Ranch, LLC

With Brenna moving back to GA for college, we are reducing some of our breeding stock to some of our best and our favorites. So we will be offering some of them up on here over the next couple of days. Located in Lakeview, OR. Transportation may be available.

First up is Princess Buttercup, she is an almost 2 year old purebred grade Jersey Heifer exposed to a pure white beef Shorthorn bull for a spring calf. For the last 2 years she has won Supreme Champion Dairy Female, last year (as a squirrel yearling) she earned Reserve Grand Champion Showmanship and this year she earned Grand Champion Showmanship.

Buttercup is a deep bodied, high capacity heifer with great spring of rib. She has great confirmation and still retains her femininity. She will make a great show cow for a young showman, excellent nurse cow or perfect for a homestead looking for fresh milk. Alisyn is keeping Daisy Cow and we don’t use enough milk to need 2 jerseys so now that the county fair is over, Buttercup’s bags are packed and she is ready for her new home.

Discounts for 4-H/FFA home with proof of participation.

With Brenna going off to college we are paring down our commercial goats to focus on the purebred Myotonics. So will be selling all but a handful of the Boers and Boer/Myo crosses.

When looking at this Boer/Myo Doeling, the words tiny but mighty come to mind. She will not be a large framed goat but she will definitely pack a punch. Her mother is a structurally correct Boer doe, whose growth was stunted due to a utero infection in her mom so we bred her to one of our myotonic bucks and Ace definitely passed on his width to this stocky little girl. Don’t miss out on your chance to take home this little sweetheart and make her part of your herd.

Star is a 3 year old Boer/Myotonic cross which shows in her goofy airplane ears. She was a bottle baby and is in your pocket without being annoying. The best part is she is polled which means that her babies have a 50% chance of being born without horns as well. She would be great as a grazer, pet or brood doe.

First up is Lily, she is a 3 year old purebred commercial Boer. Lily was dam raised but so friendly you would think she was a bottle baby and has been used for showmanship and to teach kids how to show goats. She is long bodied and ultra feminine with nice capacity. She had triplets last year and twins this year and has shown to be an excellent mother. We just separated her to wean her babies and she is putting her weight back on nicely. Her babies are being retained and shown as the last several pictures, the light red dapple is the Doeling and solid red is the buckling. She has her bags packed and is ready for a new pasture now.

If anyone is looking for some amazing property. This 160 acre property has building sites, timber, meadows, creeks, springs, tons of wildlife and LOP tags.

Dam: Star - 50% Boer/ 50% Myotonic
Sire: Rocking M Ace of Base
Expected Due Date: Feb 5, 2026

Star is a nice commercial style doe. We tried this pairing last year but unfortunately the babies were born 2 weeks premature and sadly did not make it more than a couple hours. Despite this their confirmation was great so we decided to do a repeat breeding this year.

Dam: Miracle - Commercial Boer
Sire: Rocking M Ace of Base
Expected Due Date: Feb 6, 2026

Last year this pairing gave us a beast of a single buckling. The kind that these wether goat breeders would love to have on their string, so we chose to repeat the breeding.

Dam: Lilly - Commercial Boer
Sire: Jorgy’s Ranch Midnight Train To Georgia
or Rocking M Ace Of Base
Expected Due Date: Feb 13, 2026

This plays out like a Maury Povich episode of Whose the Daddy. We noticed Lily come into heat in the morning so left her in with our 1st choice Daddy George. But George is young, inexperienced and not very assertive. By the early evening when we got home it looked like maybe the deed was done but we couldn’t be sure. So we took her over to visit Tito. Lily was a more than eager participant but poor little Tito just lacked the height to reach a full size Boer. So on to Ace’s breeding pen next where he was more than happy to accommodate her for an overnight date. The end result is this overly friendly girl is definitely in the family way regardless of the daddy. They will be 50% Boer 50% Myotonic and 100% high quality commercial with a good chance of dapples.
