The satisfaction of progress is felt with the completion of each project layer. You notice it in the scent of freshly framed timber and with each step of the stairs as you level up. It’s in the details that emerge as you scan left to right, right to left, watching rooms take shape, spaces extend, and new ideas come to life.

But it’s the subtle details that really bring the larger vision together, like the consistency of the roofline between the main house and the carriage house or the span of specially engineered boards that extend the possibilities of a room.

Craftsmanship takes time and a commitment to both the process and a standard of excellence. It is the discipline to get the small things right, because true craftsmanship is found in the details that bring the entire work together.

Refined storage solutions give everyday objects a purposeful place within the architecture.

From decorative cabinetry and custom display cases to built-in hideaways of open shelving pantries and pet retreats. Thoughtful storage can create a personalized expression of a space while keeping daily life organized. Collections become part of the room, essentials stay within reach, and even the unexpected find their place.

Make storage a part of the design, shaped around the way you live.

Designed for a light-filled open-concept flow. Built for cooking and entertaining. Each space takes on its own atmosphere, from the softly colored glass pendants above the dining table to the warm glow of the fireplace, and the abundant natural light pouring through the sliding door and along the window seat. The interplay of natural and ambient light guides the transitions from one space to the next, creating a cohesive flow and sense of continuity.

The best rooms aren't always inside. This screened porch creates a place to slow the pace, settle in, & enjoy a Saturday morning exactly as it should be.

Where do you find your quiet moment on the weekend?

Where function quietly disappears into design.

Transform the way you live and entertain! An effortless way to create connection between inside and outside spaces is with a folding sliding door.

To make this experience even more seamless for this project, we also incorporated a convenient service window that joins the kitchen to the outdoor living area. Refilling drinks or passing out snacks no longer means missing the conversation. Because when the topic is cute pets, who wants to be the one to walk away? 🐾

Happy National Intern Day! Today we're celebrating their fresh perspectives, curiosity, and creativity. As Gen Z leaves its mark across workplaces this summer, our architectural intern is making quite a few of her own; transforming ideas into thoughtful drawings and compelling renderings. Meet Sammy 👋

Sammy is entering her senior year at the University of Vermont, where she is pursuing a degree in Community-Centered Design. During her internship, she has gained hands-on experience in drafting, design development, client relations, and the day-to-day collaboration that brings our projects to life.

Following graduation, Sammy plans to pursue a Master of Architecture as she continues working toward her career in the profession.

Outside the office, Sammy spent part of her summer studying architectural watercolor under Otto Chanyakorn at the Civita Institute in Civita di Bagnoregio, an ancient hilltop village in Italy. There, she explored the intersection of architecture, art, and place through immersive sketching and painting.

As you head back to campus in a few weeks, know that our entire team is incredibly proud of all you accomplished this summer. We are grateful for your contributions and wish you a successful semester!!

Timing is everything when it comes to concrete. To stay ahead of the forecasted rain the whole team stayed locked in. From prepping footers to checking heights before laying block, it’s important to keep things right from the start making it easier for the crews coming in afterwards. As Capstone's Project manager, Josiah ensures that this residential garage, timber-framed patio, and sun-porch addition project runs safely and smoothly.

Special thanks to all the guys on site for putting in the work. Shout out to -kretellc for helping get it done. This is what teamwork looks like.

The opal Lorraine pendant was a thoughtful selection for this vintage-inspired renovation.

is a local treasure, unmatched in its ability to blend historic charm with exceptional craftsmanship. Every fixture begins with handblown glass made in the United States, shaped using antique molds and hand-painted before being brought to their Lancaster County shop, where it is hand-assembled, finished, and carefully packaged for homes and projects around the world. It's all in the little details, even the collection names offer subtle nods to local history with names like Hamilton, Steinman, Thaddeus, Rockford, and Linden.

This morning, founder Bill Eichorst offered a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry that goes into every fixture, from custom finishes applied in-house to the meticulous hand assembly of each cord and component.

What stood out just as much as the craftsmanship, though, was the culture: a genuine commitment to quality, a spirit of collaboration, and a workplace where people clearly take pride in what they create. It's evident that the same care poured into every fixture extends to the people behind them.

Proof that timeless design is always worth the process.

Thank you team, we appreciate you!!
