Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders are 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏 issues.

The U.S. has lagged behind other nations in recognizing the prevalence of FASDs, which are more common than:
🔶 Autism spectrum disorders
🔶 Cerebral palsy
🔶 Down's syndrome
🔶 and Tourette's syndrome 𝘾𝑶𝙈𝑩𝙄𝑵𝙀𝑫

Recent research found that 1 in 20 school-aged children has an FASD, but due to study methods, the actual number is likely much higher.

Addiction is a communication problem in the brain between the gas pedal "GO!" and the brake "STOP!"

Watching someone with a gambling disorder is like watching an out-of-control car. The gas pedal is stuck, and no matter how much they press the brakes they can't get things under control.

Let's Go 1-2-3 is thrilled to once again partner with the Hazel I Jackson Foundation and the School District of Lancaster/Hazel I. Jackson Middle School for the 6th annual “JACKSON DAY OF ACTION”. Students are invited to join us for this exciting event and celebrate ways to stay healthy! “Jackson Day of Action” honors the late Hazel I. Jackson’s legacy empowering excellence in classrooms and opening doors for all ages especially students.

This year’s theme is “HEALTHY IN & OUT…A BETTER YOU”. Students will have opportunities to learn and explore four stations:

Conversation is honored to be attending Night of Light in West Chester, hosted by Chester County Health Department, Drug & Alcohol Services, an evening dedicated to remembering lives lost to substance use disorders and bringing hope to those working toward recovery.
