The ClassONE Save Our Pets Project encourages everyone to check in with older adults and those with disabilities to ensure their safety and well-being in emergencies. Although we can’t always do big things, we can still show up in small ways that make a big impact on others. Just like Jimothy, even in the midst of our own struggles, we can still show thoughtfulness and kindness to others. ❤️

🙏

Yesterday, while providing fire ground support and rehabilitation for several fire departments at the scene of a house fire, members of the Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company located the family’s cat during a primary search. The cat was removed from the home and brought to EMS in a nearly lifeless state.

Deputy Chief Jason Beener immediately jumped into action, spending the next 30 minutes tending to his unexpected “patient.” Thanks to his efforts, the cat regained consciousness and was sitting up by the time the homeowner—who had not been home during the fire—arrived. She was overjoyed to be reunited with her companion and quickly transported the cat to a local veterinarian for further evaluation.

At Somerset Area Ambulance, our dedication extends beyond caring for those experiencing medical or traumatic emergencies. We’re committed to the well-being of our entire community—no matter how many legs they may have.

Solid work Jason! 👊
