🌿 Site design at Kendal at Longwood Health Center focuses on how people move, gather, and spend time outdoors.
RGS helped shape accessible paths, courtyards, gathering areas, and sensory landscapes while coordinating stormwater and green space across the surrounding campus.

🌿 Thoughtful site design helps a community feel connected to its surroundings.
For Athertyn at Haverford Reserve, the RGS Paoli team helped shape a setting that balances luxury living with preserved open space. RGS provided land planning, master planning, landscape architecture, and garden design to support a cohesive experience.

Great places are designed for connection.
RGS approaches landscape architecture with people and the natural environment in mind. Our team shapes streetscapes, gardens, and planting designs that support how a space feels and functions.
Every decision responds to the character of the site as well as practical needs like ongoing maintenance and long-term performance. This enables us to create intentional landscapes that support everyday use and fit naturally within the surroundings.

🎓 An internship can contribute just as much to a firm as it does to emerging professionals.
At RGS, interns take part in active projects, meetings, site visits, and daily mentorship rather than hypothetical assignments. Their questions also give the team a fresh perspective on its own processes and help build relationships for the future.
See what our latest interns took away from their experience and why RGS continues investing in the program.

Great projects are strengthened by partnerships built to evolve.
For more than 20 years, RGS Associates has worked with Tandem Living to support the continued growth of the Woodcrest Villa campus through master planning, civil engineering, and landscape design.
That long-term collaboration has helped guide a 130-acre senior living community with apartments, villas, shared amenities, and a wellness center, while responding to changing needs, regulations, and construction priorities.
Woodcrest Villa reflects the strong working relationship between two teams, and their shared commitment to thoughtful planning and lasting quality.

Opportunities to foster health and wellness can be practiced beyond the walls of a medical center.
As part of Lankenau Medical Center’s master plan expansion, RGS Associates designed a half-acre, year-round organic garden that supports nutrition, education, and restorative experiences.
A productive, sustainable landscape was created by including:
- Raised beds
- A greenhouse
- An outdoor classroom
- A pavilion
- On-site composting
- Efficient irrigation
The garden also provides hands-on learning opportunities for approximately 10,000 visiting children each year, while offering patients, visitors, and staff a welcoming place to pause, connect, and recharge.

What shapes a first impression?
At Harriton Farm, that question found an answer rooted in history, the landscape, and a carefully planned sense of arrival.
RGS helped integrate seven historic buildings into a community of 28 new single-family homes across the 55-acre property, while preserving sensitive site features and creating an open-space network of natural areas, walking trails, and passive recreation spaces.
The carefully planned approach, garden design, and integration of historic structures with new homes work together to create an experience that feels welcoming, cohesive, and connected to its surroundings.

Strong site design begins with knowing how a campus functions on a daily basis.
For Kendal at Longwood Health Center, RGS Associates brought landscape architecture and civil engineering together to support a more connected residential living and care experience for residents, staff, and visitors.
Through collaboration with Kendal~Crosslands Communities and Lenhardt Rodgers Architecture + Interiors, the project balanced stormwater, grading, access, walking paths and outdoor spaces with the daily needs of the campus community.
