CWS - Lancaster Immigration & Refugee Program

These boots are headed to a neighbor beginning a new chapter.

Through our Economic Empowerment programs, refugee and immigrant neighbors receive job readiness training, career coaching, and job placement support that connects them with opportunities to thrive.

Earlier this year, two children represented by CWS Lancaster were granted asylum after years of advocacy and legal support. These victories don't happen by chance. They happen because experienced attorneys stand beside children every step of the way.

We have made a promise to the children and families we serve: that they will not have to navigate the immigration system alone. We intend to keep that promise.

Thanks to a generous donor, right now every gift made to our Legal Services Program will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $200,000. Your generosity will help keep experienced attorneys and accredited representatives on staff and ensure that vulnerable immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and
unaccompanied children continue to receive expert legal representation.

Help us shower our clients with love! Please contact Kate Espinosa at [email protected] with any donations!

"It is only natural to love the land of one's birth. To love the land that offers you opportunities and grants you a second citizenship is an act of justice and gratitude."

"With faith, the right support, and perseverance, dreams really can become a reality."

This Citizenship Day, we celebrate the many new Americans who have become U.S. citizens over the past year and the incredible journeys that brought them here.

Today we are highlighting two of our neighbors whose stories reflect hope, determination, and a deep love for our shared country. We're grateful to be part of these moments and proud to support our newest fellow citizens as they turn long-held dreams into reality and remind us what pride looks like.

Federal funding that helped provide legal representation for vulnerable children has ended. But our commitment to the children and families we serve has not.

Today, more than 200 unaccompanied children, some as young as three years old, are counting on CWS Lancaster for the legal support they need to pursue safety and stability.

Thanks to the generosity of the James and Connie Grube Fund, every gift to our Legal Services Program will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $200,000.

Now is the time to act. Double your impact and help ensure no child faces the immigration system alone.

Today is all about making sure you — and everyone you know — are registered to vote. Whether you're voting for the first time, recently moved, or just want to double-check your status, today's the day to do it!

📍 Register to vote or check your registration at www.weall.vote/cws

Even if you’re a registered voter, if you’ve moved, changed names, or not checked your registration recently, it’s good to check!

We encourage all eligible voters, CWS supporters, volunteers, and New American citizens to vote in the elections they're eligible for.

CWS Global does not endorse any candidate or political party. We adhere to a strong principle of nonpartisan electoral participation.

📢📢 Due to an increase in Asylum interviews we are in urgent need of Spanish volunteer interpreters to help us in person at USCIS interviews in Philadelphia and New Jersey. Volunteer interpreters must first pass background checks and complete a self paced virtual training. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

WHOA! In August, more than 1000+ neighbors received food through our Global Food Pantry!

Since launching in November 2025, we've seen demand grow and we doubled our capacity in March to ensure more refugee and immigrant families can access the food they need in a safe and trusted location.

This milestone is possible because of you, our dedicated volunteers and community supporters.

Happy Labor Day from CWS Lancaster!
