💧 Well Waterline Replacement & Electrical Upgrade

When we first assessed the system, water was shooting through the foundation wall beneath the well discharge pipe every time the pump turned on. That told us the underground line was either broken or collapsed and needed to be replaced.

This was a challenging repair. We carefully excavated underneath a live gas line and removed approximately a 2½-foot section of concrete to access the damaged waterline. A big thank-you to our good friend Feldpausch Industries for helping break up and remove the concrete!

We installed a new waterline from the home to the well’s pitless adapter and upgraded the electrical while everything was exposed. We then sealed the foundation pe*******on from both the inside and outside using hydraulic cement. This protects the opening from water and the elements while helping stabilize the line when the pump starts and stops.

The homeowner’s water is officially back on and flowing properly! 💪🏽

Pump pull and well inspection yesterday in Laingsburg, Michigan.

CMC Environmental assisted Peerless Midwest with a pump pull at one of the water systems under CMC Environmental’s operation. The pump was pulled, the pump and column piping were inspected, and the assembly was reinstalled.

We also added a new airline system to provide a reliable method for monitoring water levels within the well.

Preventative maintenance and accurate well-level monitoring are important parts of keeping a water system reliable and understanding how the well is performing over time.

Another successful utility trench completed by CMC Environmental.

This project included saw-cutting the existing driveway, excavating approximately 65 feet of trench for a new underground electrical service, and carefully working around existing drainage infrastructure to minimize disturbance. This one came in with years of corrosion, deteriorated hardware, and improper bolt engagement. We documented the deficiencies, measured everything before disassembly, replaced the components that needed attention, and put it back together the right way.

To us, this is light work.
