Each year we have the opportunity to partner with Professors Michigan State University on various projects focused on development, urban planning, marketing & advertising, and interior design. Today, we toured an interior design class through some of our historic sites to show how history was preserved - The Marshall Street Armory, 637 E Michigan (soon to be opened as Morning Post and D’Nulffos) and Brick Row.

East End is an example of how strategic development can strengthen the places where people live, work, and connect.

Located between Dow Diamond and downtown Midland, this mixed-use development has helped create a more active and connected corridor with more than 200,000 square feet of medical, dining, retail, and office space.

Made possible through a collaborative public-private partnership, East End builds on the energy of two key Midland destinations while creating new opportunities for businesses, visitors, and the broader community!

From above, you can see the future home of the new Meijer Gas Station taking shape at this highly visible location. The project will bring added convenience to the area while contributing to the continued investment and activity happening throughout the surrounding community.

We’re proud to provide the space for Meijer to establish this new location and look forward to seeing it come to life!

A former printing facility across from Dow Diamond has taken on an entirely new purpose as East End, a vibrant mixed-use development contributing to the continued growth of downtown Midland.

Through brownfield redevelopment, environmental cleanup, and collaboration between public and private partners, an underutilized property was transformed into more than 200,000 square feet of medical, dining, and retail space.

East End now serves as an important connection between Dow Diamond and downtown Midland, creating a more walkable environment, supporting surrounding businesses, and bringing new activity to the area. It’s a strong example of how redevelopment can create lasting value and help shape the future of a community!

Bringing new life to a historic piece of Michigan Avenue! Brick Row continues to take shape, blending the character of these historic buildings with new opportunities for living, business, and activity in the Stadium District. We’re excited to see this vision getting closer to completion!
