Fewer people will be watching an investor.

Off the pitch, Messi has quietly built a remarkably focused portfolio: a sports-tech venture firm, a boutique hotel brand where he owns the real estate and lets professionals run it, a listed property trust, and this spring, a Barcelona football club bought for its youth academy rather than its trophy case.

What stands out isn't the size of the checks. It's the restraint. No random ventures with his name stapled on, just capital in sectors he genuinely understands, with almost everything anchored to the city that made him.

There's a lesson there that has nothing to do with soccer. The strongest portfolios are usually built around what you actually know.

A rising senior at Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business studying Finance, Isabella supports advisors through client meeting preparation and proactive client engagement. She brings strong analytical ability and a disciplined work ethic to every responsibility she takes on, and her hands-on experience in a professional advisory environment is already shaping what promises to be a meaningful career in financial services.

A rising senior at Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business, Aditya is pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in Financial Planning & Wealth Management. At Waggoner, he supports wealth management and financial planning operations through client meeting preparation and proactive client communication, building the foundation for the career ahead of him.

Outside the office, Aditya stays active through soccer and fitness, and values the time he gets with friends and family.

Meet Claudia Duimstra, Wealth Management Intern at Waggoner.

A junior at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, Claudia is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She supports the team through case preparation and advisor work, channeling the analytical rigor and communication skills built through her studies and professional experience into client service operations every day.

Outside the office, she's most at home outdoors, staying active, or discovering a new coffee shop.

Meet Cody Hatridge, Wealth Management Intern at Waggoner.

Cody is a rising senior at Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business, majoring in Finance with dual minors in Financial Planning & Wealth Management and Spanish. At Waggoner, he contributes through case preparation, meeting notes, and client service, bringing integrity and care to each responsibility. His next goal: the CFP® certification.

When he is not in the office, you will find him doing yoga, exploring through wildlife photography, or planning his next destination.

We are excited to welcome Mason Smith to the Waggoner team!

Mason joins us as a Paraplanner, supporting our advisors and clients with the planning, preparation, and analysis that drives smart financial decisions. He brings a sharp academic foundation and a global perspective to the role.

Mason earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He has a strong interest in passion assets, including wineries and the sports industry.

Outside of work, Mason enjoys boxing, taekwondo, the gym, and cooking, with a particular love for homemade soups.
