What happens when you see a gap in your community and decide to do something about it?
On this episode of Hope in Action, host Sheri Jones sits down with Yolanda Pope, founder of DAP Services and Resources, to talk about a mission built from years of working on the front lines of senior care.
As a licensed practical nurse, Yolanda saw firsthand how often seniors and their families struggled to find the resources, housing, and support they needed. Instead of waiting for a solution, she created one.
Today, DAP Services provides case management, housing assistance through its Senior Stability Program, and Harbor House—a transitional shelter specifically serving elderly individuals with nowhere else to turn.
Yolanda shares stories of lives changed, the growing reality of senior homelessness, and why helping families before they reach a crisis point matters so much.
It’s a powerful conversation about compassion, resilience, and what can happen when someone chooses to step in and make a difference.
