Legacy Leadership Forums equips Christian Business Leaders to live a Biblical Legacy in all areas of their lives: in family, in business, and in community.

Legacy Leadership Forums is a team of business owners and managers who meet together monthly for mutual encouragement and accountability. As business leaders, it's too often we find a natural influence in our business, only an isolated influence in our home and practically no influence in our community. Yet we find ourselves interacting in all these areas. Just what does it take to pay attention in all these areas so we finish well? Just what is our Legacy going to be? Are you a Christian Business Owner feeling like you are all alone? You have problems like downsizing, hiring, firing, debt, cash flow, cutting corners to survive, profits, losses, etc. While our primary spiritual resource is the local church, a Christian running a company very much needs, but may lack, the counsel of fellow executives in a church setting. What a Christian needs is the counsel of peers - a "friendly Board of Directors" - who are key decision makers within their own companies. Together they can pray, search the Scriptures, seek wise counsel and solve problems in a manner appropriate for the Christian so that God is glorified by their business endeavors. The Legacy Leadership Forums is a closely knit 8 to 10 such business people that meet monthly to deal with the problems and the needs of each of it's members in a confidential and supportive environment characterized by accountability and Godly counsel.

The goal of Kingdom Leadership is always flourishing. In John 10:10, Jesus tells us He came so we "may have life and have it abundantly." When we align our work, service, and leadership with this in mind, we are compelled to share this abundant life with all those who cross our path. www.legacyleadershipfoums.org

God doesn't wait for extraordinary moments to form us.

He meets us in ordinary conversations, daily work, unexpected disappointments, celebrations, and quiet moments of reflection.

Spiritual formation is less about escaping everyday life and more about learning to recognize God within it.

Where have you experienced God's presence in an ordinary moment recently?

Legacy Leadership Forums knows the importance of spending time with Jesus in prayer and Bible reading so we will be in step with Him, and attentive to Him through His community of believers. Our recent Prayer Retreat allowed our Forum members the time to reflect on God and focus on what He is communicating. We should always be ready to answer the question ‘what is God saying to you and doing with you now?’

Some questions are worth returning to throughout life.

Who is God?
Who am I?
What does God desire to do through me?

The answers continue to unfold as we grow. Perhaps the journey isn't about finding all the answers, but continuing to live into the questions with God.

Which of these questions feels most important for you today?

Has God entrusted you with your own business? Has He blessed you with a position of authority where you work? Christian leadership is a God-centered calling where authority is exercised through love, humility, and example, creating an environment where people are empowered to flourish. www.legacyleadershipforums.org

Titus 1:7 and 1 Timothy 3:2 remind us that an overseer must be “above reproach.” This especially holds true for Kingdom Leaders. Effective Christian leadership begins with the transformation of the leader’s heart, character, and life. Learn more about Legacy Leadership Forums: www.legacyleadershipforums.org

Chad Groen, owner of Groen Homescape, is a member of a Legacy Forum that meets in Northwest Indiana. Chad's story is typical of what many experience after becoming a member of a Forum. Thank you, Chad, for sharing your story!
-- For a long time, I thought being a pastor or working in a church was the highest calling on this side of heaven. But I’ve come to realize that the highest calling is simply being a disciple wherever God calls you. Legacy helped me understand that—and more importantly, helped me become proud to be a "Landscape Preacher." My work is my worship. Amen!
I joined Legacy at 29 years old as a “wantrepreneur”—a young guy with more ideas than money, and if I’m being honest, I was pretty empty inside. I came into Legacy wanting business wisdom so I could succeed and build relationships with impactful business leaders. What I didn’t understand at the time was that putting wisdom into action every day first requires discernment: learning to recognize God’s voice above the noise of the world—and, sometimes, above the noise of my own desires.
It has taken more than six years for the wisdom of my Legacy brothers and sisters to really sink deep into my soul. But looking back, there’s no doubt in my mind that God used them to open my eyes to His will instead of my priorities. My Legacy peers have become some of my greatest cheerleaders in life, and I’m forever grateful for them.
Yes, I’m still a landscaper. But I’m a landscaper with a new and empowered anointing. Groen Homescape isn’t just about landscapes anymore. Our mission is to be our clients’ landscapers for life—with eternal impact.
I’m still building landscapes, but now I understand that God can use the work of my hands to build something that lasts far beyond the landscape. --
