The 2026 Hmong New Year Celebration will be taking place this weekend (Sept 26-27) at Grand Woods Park. The event will take up most of the park on Saturday and Sunday. There will be live music, food, and traditional performances. All are welcome to attend this free cultural event.

Safety and continued training are just two of the cornerstones of our public safety initiatives. We are excited to share that the Delta Township Fire Department is one of the first departments in our area to be trained in the Infant Safe Sleep Program! Delta Fire is proud to announce that we are one of the first departments in our area to be trained in the Infant Safe Sleep Program!

Our firefighters are now trained to recognize unsafe infant sleep conditions and provide education and assistance to residents to help create safer sleep environments for their little ones.

The goal of this program is to help reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep-related infant deaths through education, awareness, and prevention.

A special thank you to Capt. Urburtis and Capt. Fiala for their hard work and dedication in getting our department trained and certified in this important program.

We are proud to continue finding ways to better serve and protect the families in our community.

Introducing the New Delta Township Fire Department Logo

The Delta Township Fire Department is proud to unveil its new logo, a design that honors our history while embracing a unified look for the future. The logo features the official Delta Township logo at its center, creating consistency and unity across the Township fleet.

The bold red and black color scheme matches our current fire apparatus, providing a professional and recognizable identity throughout the department. Gold lettering and accents pay tribute to the tradition of gold leafing on our fire trucks, reflecting our commitment to being the gold standard in service to our community.

This new logo represents more than a fresh look. It symbolizes our dedication to excellence, our respect for the department's proud history, and our commitment to serving the residents of Delta Township with professionalism, integrity, and pride.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced an unimaginable tragedy that forever changed countless lives. Today, we honor the innocent lives lost, the bravery of the first responders, and the resilience that united our country in the days that followed.

Here in Delta Township, we are reminded that our greatest strength is our community. By caring for our neighbors, supporting one another, and standing together through difficult times, we carry forward the spirit of unity that emerged 25 years ago.

Today, we remember. We honor. We stand united.

Grand Woods Park Notice

Please be advised that there will be a large Middle School Cross Country Meet today at Grand Woods Park.

The park will be busier than usual, with increased traffic, runners, spectators, and activity throughout the park. Please plan accordingly if you are visiting Grand Woods Park today.

*Urgent* Youth Flag Football refs needed. If you or anyone you know is interested in reffing flag football on Saturday afternoons, please contact our Athletics Coordinator, Colton at 517-323-8555.

Refs will work 2-3 games and will make $20/game for the next 6 weeks.
