DOOR International
Deaf reaching Deaf for Christ There are an estimated 70 million Deaf people worldwide, and less than 2% of them know Christ.
DOOR International’s mission is to bring God’s Word and reproducing Christian fellowships to the Deaf of the world. Our calling is two-fold: translation and training.
--We help Deaf communities translate the Bible (and other resources) into their sign languages.
--We train and equip Deaf leaders in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting to reach their communities for Christ.
Jesus' ministry was marked by welcome. He reached out to those who were overlooked, marginalized, and often excluded—including Deaf people.
Today, that same welcome continues when the Church makes the Gospel accessible in every heart language, including signed languages. Everyone deserves the opportunity to know Jesus, grow in His Word, and belong in His family.
Let's reflect Christ's heart by creating spaces where Deaf people are not only welcomed but empowered to worship, lead, and make disciples.
There is room for everyone in the Kingdom of God. 🤟 ❤️

When Khalid walked away from his faith, God never stopped pursuing him. Through the love, prayers, and support of fellow believers during a difficult season, he found his way back to Christ and the church family. Today, he is once again serving and sharing God’s Word.
Restoration is possible. No one is beyond God’s grace.

How do you plant a church where there are no Deaf churches, no Deaf Christian leaders, and little access to God's Word?
It starts with two Deaf leaders.
DOOR's 2-by-2 model pairs an evangelist and a teacher to enter unreached Deaf communities, share the Gospel in sign language, disciple new believers, and equip local leaders to establish Deaf-led churches. As those leaders grow, they train others and send new teams to reach even more communities.
Every Deaf community deserves the opportunity to know Jesus in their heart language.

The gospel is most clearly understood when it is shared through a person's heart language, which is why Deaf leadership in evangelism matters.
Let's continue praying for and investing in Deaf leaders as they faithfully share the hope of Christ with Deaf communities around the world.
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?" — Romans 10:14

One day, heaven will be filled with worshipers from every people group and every language, including every sign language.
Yet today, millions of Deaf people still do not have access to God's Word in their heart language. Many have never encountered the gospel in a way they can fully understand.
At DOOR, we believe Revelation 7:9 is more than a future promise—it is a call to action. Through Deaf-led ministry, sign language Bible translation, and church planting, we are working toward the day when Deaf communities around the world can know, follow, and worship Jesus.
Because every language matters.
Every person matters.
And every Deaf community belongs before the throne.

Why do some people assume deafness is a curse?
For centuries, deafness has been viewed through the lens of loss and limitation. But deafness is not a curse. Rather, it's a different way of experiencing the world.
The real challenge isn't deafness. It's the barriers, exclusion, and lack of access that many Deaf people face every day.
Every Deaf person is created in God's image and deserves to belong, be understood, and encounter His Word in their heart language.
Deafness is not a curse. Exclusion is.
