Ok, it's time to redo my 5 paragraph update I tried to do 2 days ago. Some of you sat you saw it, others no. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'll try again.

First I apologized for the lack of energy into maintaining this page. So much has been going on for both Max and me. Max is doing well. Past the Google's information that 13 and a half is the average length of life for Persian cats, Max is now 14 years and 5 months. Where the time went, I can't imagine.

We basically left off last year when Max was diagnosed with Stage 4 of 4 kidney failure. It's said that 50% of cats over 15 experience kidney failure. What a sad statistic. I had been getting a complete blood work-up every six months since Max was 8. The idea was to help slow down any disease or condition he might have come down with. Interestingly, these tests were completely normal until last summer.

We were taping a short story on Max's impact on the community with Dave Andrews. For the first time in his life, Max jumped out of his car and off his stool - totally out of character. That's when we found the disease. Max had to undergo 100 ml of fluid through a needle in his neck for 10 days at home. We also had to place him on a prescription diet and start high blood pressure medication as well. I repeatedly asked for WLNS to edit those parts out of Max's video, to no avail. It's still there I'm sure and such an injustice to Max.

Max's visits to retirement communities were postponed or cancelled. At his comprehensive exam last week, 2 of the 3 main kidney blood values were down to stage 2, with the other having just crossed into stage 3. We now do a comprehensive blood panel every 3 months to keep a close watch on the progression of this disease. He's back out with his Max on Tour in his new Lamborghini. The oppressive heat has reduced the number of visits we could do but we still plan on visiting 20 retirement communities in 2026.

I've been fighting very high Vitamin D levels that have caused several falls the past 12 months, extreme fatigue, brain fog, and muscle pain. We're almost back to normal.

Here's a few pictures from this summer with Max. He's just visited Mackinac Island and Chicago. He means the world to me and has continued to give the elderly joy in their days and comfort near the end of their lives. We'll be in touch. Thank you for your continued support of Max. God bless you all and continue to keep him in your prayers.

It's weird. I did a 5 paragraph update yesterday on where we've been and how Max's health is and I don't see it posted at all. I'll try again. Did anyone see it with the photo montage?

I am blessed and mom is beyond grateful to be able to celebrate my 14th birthday today after an unexpected scare with kidney disease this past year. We're thrilled to report the success we've had with the new medications and diet to control this challenge.

We've just kicked off Max on Tour 2026 visiting the gorgeous Williamston Senior Center. This week we're headed to The Oasis in Holt followed by a trip back to Williamston to Oak Brook. It's going to be an exciting year. We thank you for all your love and support that continues to lift us up. Today, do what you can to ensure someone is seen, heard, valued and loved. God bless. Happy birthday Max.

I'm becoming convinced that my house is haunted. Watch Max's fixation on the ceiling. This is repeated on a daily, if not more often, basis

When it's this cold, you need all your people's help just to make it through. ❄️☃️😬. I should tell you there's also a heating pad under my belly. Mom doesn't miss a beat.

I was seeking God's will as to the direction of my life in 2026. On 12-11 I pulled a card from an antique Bible verses and sayings and drew this one. I wrote it down and hung it in my kitchen. This morning I had the thought to ask again and I pulled the same card probably from a stack of 250 cards. Well, you can calculate the odds of that happening or believe God was saying, "I told you the first time...". And so Max and I will continue to spread love and joy to our elderly where doors open for us. The other card I picked on 12-11 read, "Great Advocate! Almighty friend. On thee do all our hopes depend. Our cause can never, never fail. Thou dost plead and must prevail.". Happy Sunday!

Where's the Christmas tree? It's been here for over a month. I'm protesting its demise. I'm breaking into song in its honor ... "O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree, how lovely your branches...". Bah humbug!

Looking forward to 2026!
