A big thank you to the nonprofit leaders who joined us for our Clinton County Roundtable last night!

We had thoughtful conversations about the needs, opportunities, and challenges facing communities across Clinton County, and we’re grateful to everyone who shared their perspectives and ideas.

These conversations help us better understand what’s happening in our communities and how we can continue showing up as a partner.

And a special thank you to Clinton County Senior Center for providing the space for us to gather!

Last night, we celebrated something at the heart of The Izzo Legacy: the power of people coming together to make a difference💚

We were honored to recognize our 2026 Izzo Impact Grant recipients and celebrate the incredible work they are doing in communities across Michigan.

The Izzo Impact Grants go beyond simply providing financial support. They help bring meaningful projects to life and create tangible, lasting impact for children, families, and communities.

We are honored to stand beside our charity partners. Together, we are building a legacy of giving that will continue to make a difference for generations to come!

We had a pretty special night earlier this week.

We gathered with friends, colleagues, and community partners to celebrate Cindy Hales and Tracy Russman as they head into retirement after eight years with the Community Foundation!

If you’ve worked with us over the years, there’s a good chance Cindy or Tracy has been part of your story.

Cindy brought so much heart and intention to our community investment work, always thinking about how we could listen better, build stronger relationships, and make sure our resources were reaching the people and organizations doing important work in our community.

And Tracy was the person making sure all the pieces came together. Applications, deadlines, details, questions, follow-ups, and about a million things happening behind the scenes. She brought so much care and consistency to the work, and we’re going to miss having her steady presence around here.

Together, they helped support hundreds of organizations and countless people across our region. But what we’ll remember most are the relationships they built and the care they brought to the work every single day.

Cindy and Tracy, thank you! For your hard work, your humor, your kindness, your partnership, and everything you’ve given to this community. We’re so grateful we got to celebrate you, and we’re even more grateful we got to work alongside you.

Congratulations on retirement! We hope this next chapter is full of all the good stuff.

And a big thank-you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, and to Child and Family Charities for being such a wonderful host!

Having Jon Herrmann on board as our Riverfront Operations Manager to produce all our events through our Lansing Riverfront.org work has been amazing, and we're so glad everyone has been appreciating him as much as we get to! Congrats Jon - we're lucky to have you with us!

Our office is closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Our 2026 Impact Report is out! In 2025 we opened 19 new funds, received over $8 million in gifts, and put $10,118,989 to work across Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties.

Today is National Nonprofit Day, and we're feeling especially grateful.

As a nonprofit, we're proud to be part of a network of organizations working every day to strengthen Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties. The nonprofits in our communities are often the first to step up when help is needed, and they rarely get the recognition they deserve.

Last August, we conducted a listening tour and public survey where neighbors and colleagues shared what they think about the Lansing riverfront. Their responses informed our work on creating LansingRiverfront.org, planning events at Fish Ladder Music Park, and more.

When our community speaks, we listen! We're proud of everything we've accomplished since last summer, and excited to see what comes next.
