🛼Everyday is not going to be the best workout day. We have lives outside of the gym that bleed into the gym. We’ve been with our clients for life events, happy or sad. We are there when you have surgery and come back- maybe sadder and weaker and more frustrated. 😠Most of the time, we all end up happier, calmer, and stronger after a workout. ☺️
👩🏽‍🐰‍👩🏼We are so proud of our members who choose themselves day after day. We are proud of our members who help other members out, too. Keep it up. ❤️

Please join us in welcoming our newest trainer, Kate Young, to the State of Fitness team! 🎉

Kate brings five years of personal training experience, a NASM certification, and a genuine passion for helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident. Her own journey back from a serious athletic injury shaped the supportive, encouraging approach she brings to every client.

Kate also has a background in American Sign Language interpreting and has led workout classes taught entirely in ASL—an experience that reflects her commitment to making fitness welcoming and accessible.

We’re thrilled to have her energy, expertise, and “working out is ALL the fun” philosophy at State of Fitness!

Some of the most valuable movements we can do aren’t fancy — they’re movements our bodies learned long before we ever picked up a weight.

Rolling. Crawling. Kneeling. Getting up and down from the floor.

In our latest blog, we break down 5 of our favorite ground-based exercises for strength and mobility:

💪 Turkish Get-Up
🐛 Inchworm
🔥 Bird Dog
🐻 Bear Crawl
🕷️ Spiderman Crawl

These movements can help develop core strength, mobility, coordination, stability, and better overall movement quality — which is exactly why we use ground-based training at State of Fitness.

Sometimes getting better doesn’t mean doing MORE.

Sometimes it means getting back to the basics.

Mobility isn't separate from strength training—it makes strength training better.

Better mobility helps you move with control, improve technique, generate more force, and reduce unnecessary stress on your joints.

When you move well, you lift better.
When you lift better, you build strength that lasts.

Train for strength. Move for life.

💪 Experience the difference at State of Fitness.

The strongest athletes don't just focus on lifting more weight.

They prioritize movement.

They value recovery.

They train with purpose.

That's the difference between simply working out and building long-
term performance.

Our Hybrid Performance Training combines strength, conditioning,
mobility, and recovery to help you move better, perform better, and
stay active for years to come.

What does a GREAT workout actually look like? 💪

It’s more than just lifting weights or getting your heart rate up.

At State of Fitness, we believe a complete workout should help your body do what it was designed to do — move well, feel good, get stronger, and perform better.

We break it down into 5 B’s:

🫁 BREATHE
🤸 BEND
⚖️ BALANCE
⚡ BOUNCE
💪 BUILD

Whether you're 25, 45, 65 or beyond, these are qualities we want to continue developing — and they're a big part of how we train at State of Fitness.

I broke down the anatomy of a great workout and why each piece matters in our latest blog.
