MSHDA joined the City of Detroit, Cinnaire, and many other partners to celebrate the grand opening of Preston Townhomes, a major investment in Detroit's Islandview neighborhood.
Developments like this show what's possible when mission-driven developers, grassroots organizations, and government agencies unite around a shared vision. We're proud to be a part of this work and to have supported this project through our financing tools to help create more affordable housing opportunities for Detroiters.

Groundbreakings and grand openings highlight the impact of collaboration and the momentum behind housing progress in Michigan!
Elizabeth Rademacher, LIHTC Allocations Manager, joined Woda Cooper Companies, Inc., Cherry Health, and other development and local partners for the grand opening of Shea Ravines in Wyoming near Cherry Health Community Health Center. Shea Ravines brings 56 new units of workforce housing to the community and underscores the vital role stable housing plays in strengthening Michigan's communities. MSHDA supported this development through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.
Katy VanHouten, LIHTC Financial Specialist, joined Völker, Little River Holdings, LLC, Cinnaire, and many other housing partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of Alpine Senior Apartments in Grand Rapids' West Grand neighborhood. This development will bring 52 units of affordable housing to the community for senior residents and was supported by MSHDA through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.

MSHDA is hiring!
We're seeking an Administrative Law Specialist in our Legal Affairs Division. This senior-level position reviews and analyzes complex multi-family loan proposals, conducts multi-family initial and final closings, and prepares MSHDA legal documents associated with these closings, along with other related legal duties.
We're also looking for a Participant Services Technician to support our Rental Assistance Division. This role is responsible for reviewing participant documentation, providing information and referrals on the Housing Choice Voucher program, recording customer service data, and other office support functions.

MSHDA is hosting a webinar on the new Michigan Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24.
Developers, lenders, investors, housing partners and other interested parties are encouraged to attend. The webinar will provide an overview of the new state tax credit, a discussion on the proposed program structure and timeline, and an opportunity to ask questions and share recommendations as MSHDA finalizes program policies and guidance.
Your feedback will help shape how this new resource is designed and delivered — and how it can best support the development and preservation of affordable housing across Michigan.

The 2027 Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC) returns to the Lansing Center on May 11-12, and we're looking for the ideas, experiences and practical solutions that will help Michigan's housing community learn, connect and move the work forward.
We're seeking proposals for 60-minute sessions that offer practical insights, encourage meaningful conversation and give attendees ideas they can put to work. Proposals should align with one or more of these five topical tracks:
