Explore science in nature! Youth camps, field study & hiking trails. Weddings & events. Generous members, donors & volunteers make Woldumar possible.
Trails are open to the public dawn until dusk daily. $3/visitor trail fee may be paid at the trail head or digitally through Facebook or PayPal. Parties of 10 or more must call for a reservation. Woldumar is a non-profit environmental education organization. We exist to serve the Greater Lansing Community with science and nature themed programs throughout the year. We also maintain hiking trails for public use. Leashed pets welcome! No smoking, alcohol or drug use is allowed on the property. Hunting and collecting are not permitted. Commercial activity, including commercial photography requires a permit from the director.

It's Thursday, so we thought we'd "bug" you. Except...
None of these critters are true bugs, although they are all insects. True bugs have a beak that they use to feed. Mantis and grasshoppers use mandibles to feed and this fly uses a proboscis.

What a great year of camp!
It was quieter at the nature center last week without our campers around.
Sparking a curiosity, understanding and love of nature is what we're all about at Woldumar and we're incredibly grateful to the hundreds of camp families who chose to spend their summers with us.
This year, we filled 821 spots at camp over our 11 week run. We can't wait to do it again in 2027.
