Hey y’all…

It’s with a heavy heart that Shallow Side must remove ourselves from tonight’s show in Woodstock, Illinois.

Very late last night, I received an emergency phone call that my precious pooch, Mr. Tucker Boatright, and his battle with The Reaper has entered its final rounds.

As I begin to prepare myself for a future I’m not ready to face, I keep reminding myself just how blessed we’ve all been to have the time we’ve had together. Tucker has never been just a boy and his dog story. He’s been part of this family and a life that I’ve been incredibly lucky to build around me.

I know with the guitars recently, and now a family emergency, it probably feels like Shallow Side has been touring on the struggle bus. But these are also the moments that continue to define us—not just as musicians or as a band, but as people and as a family.

Sometimes life reminds you what matters most, and right now I need to be home with mine.

To everyone in Woodstock, the venue, the bands, and especially everyone who planned on spending their night with us: I’m truly sorry we can’t be there.

We love you all, and we appreciate the grace, patience, and support you’ve continued to show this band more than my words could ever describe.

Give your dogs an extra hug for me today.
