Family, quick update.

At Ripple Effect Participatory Defense, we love shining a light on our member entrepreneurs.

Today we’re proud to uplift Malinda Pearson, owner of Creating a Unique Image Photography — a talented community photographer offering family photos and nonprofit photography.

If you need photography for any part of your life — business, home, or family — reach out and let them know that Ripple Effect referred you.

Part of the Ripple Effect team had the privilege of reconnecting with their roots alongside the original Participatory Defense crew at Silicon Valley De-Bug in San Jose, CA back in August.

That convening strengthened their commitment to the work and reminded them how deeply this movement is shaped by culture, community, and shared love. Being in the Bay allowed the team to soak in a spirit that is bold, historic, and full of heart — a spirit that helped shape Elias and Melinda, and continues to influence the way Ripple Effect shows up today.

The team wanted to share a little of that Bay Area culture and love with the Lansing community. From the West Coast to the Midwest, Ripple Effect carries these lessons forward as we keep building, learning, and standing with our people. ❤️💛

Hey Ripple Effect family! We’ve got a member stepping into a new job and they're in need of some size 10.5 men shoes. If you have a pair to share, just give us a shout. Let’s keep lifting each other up.

One of Ripple Effect’s core members, Ricco, showed up at 54A District Court this week to support one of our younger members during his sentencing. He stood with him and his mom in the courtroom, making sure they didn’t face that moment alone. This is what community support looks like — showing up for each other when it matters.

Three core members of the Ripple Effect team showed up at 30th Circuit Court today, standing strong in support of our community — showing up with truth, presence, and solidarity when it matters most.

Ripple Effect stands with our members every step of the way. Right now, we're lifting up a young entrepreneur who’s turned challenges into opportunity. He’s launched his very own detailing business—Roco’s Detailing—and is ready to bring a shine to your ride. If your car needs a bit of love, give Roco’s Detailing a call and let them know Ripple Effect sent you. Let’s rally around our youth!
