An incoming player from Ga***rd High School, Samples brings true utility value to Lansing. Capable of covering ground in the outfield, playing a versatile infield, or getting behind the plate, he gives the Crusaders a reliable, contact-first bat and a glove that can go anywhere on the diamond. ⚾

A.J. Alicea has joined the Crusade 🛡️⚔️

A hometown add from DeWitt High School, Alicea spent his college career at Lansing Community College, hitting .283 with a .387 OBP over two seasons. A steady glove to match the bat, he posted a .985 fielding percentage in 2025-26. As a senior at DeWitt, he was the everyday shortstop and hit .409 with 45 hits, 3 home runs, 20 RBI, and 35 runs scored. He already has chemistry with new teammates Jackson Gomez and Alex Engel from their summer together with the Prison City Padres. ⚾

Excited to keep building this program on the back of local talent.

Nicholas Gonzalez has joined the Crusade 🛡️⚔️

An incoming freshman from Hays High School in Kyle, Texas. Gonzalez is a versatile piece who can hold down second base, center field, or right field. ⚾

Ben Mackenzie has joined the Crusade 🛡️⚔️

A junior transfer from Delta College, Mackenzie joins fellow Pioneers Mason Beaver, Preston Mata, and Brady Ellison in Lansing. The ironman of the Pioneer lineup, Ben started every single game this season at first base, led the team in RBI, and tied for the lead in doubles. ⚾

A junior transfer from Delta College, Ellison joins fellow Pioneers Mason Beaver and Preston Mata in Lansing. A versatile infielder with the ability to contribute on the mound, Brady is a natural leader who brings a team-first mindset and culture to the Crusader clubhouse. ⚾

A sophomore transfer from Lorain County Community College, Teigeler brings collegiate catching experience to Lansing. A Lakewood High School graduate who models his game after the best backstops in the game, the Crusaders are excited to add another Michigan native with college reps to the roster. ⚾
