🦸🏻‍♂️ What a morning, full of purpose!

Hundreds of runners, walkers, families, and supporters joined us for our 5th Annual Superheroes 5K, all to support our local children fighting cancer.

Before the race, we honored our fighters, survivors, and angels with a special balloon release. It was a reminder to our families that their children are seen, remembered, and never alone in this fight.

From the petting zoo and foam pit to the dunk tank, booths, and racecourse, today was about bringing our community together around our kids. As we celebrate days like today, we’ll keep working toward something even bigger: better access to the care our children need, closer to home!

Thank you to our sponsors, runners, walkers, staff, volunteers, and Jose Munoz for helping make today possible.

Above all, thank God for another beautiful day to serve our community and these incredible families.

Thank you, Laredo. God Bless!

Two meaningful days at the MHM Healthier Summit!

Executive Director Ray Sanchez and Program Coordinator Betsy Sanchez had the opportunity to hear from incredible speakers, panelists, community leaders, and individuals with lived experience who are doing meaningful work in their own communities.

The conversations, shared experiences, and ideas were both inspiring and affirming of the work happening at Smiles From Heaven and Fight Like a Kid. Ray and Betsy return to Laredo encouraged, connected, and ready to continue building on that work for the families we serve.

Thank you to Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. for bringing so many voices together in one space.
