Open Gates Dog Training

Welcome back Indie & Bork! It has been a long time since we’ve had them stay with us but they always fall right back into the house routine. They both are NOT fans of the rain but a little LED bouncy ball time was irresistible 🥰🥰🥰🫶

Brayden and Reaper are both so happy to be working and playing together. Love how these two just bonded so much on the first stay and it’s still that way.

Badger absolutely loves training and always gives 100%. I like working Place to Place exercises like this where I can condense a lot of commands into one exercise that lets me get lots of repetitions. Today we covered Place, Place duration, Wait, Come, Heel, Down, Sit & Break, as well as Leave it. This is a lot but Badger needs the mental challenges!

Lady loves incorporating her commands on walks. She is very smart and high energy so this helps to better satisfy her. Bonus is it’s super fun for me too ;)

The boys did a great job walking Sofi this morning. I think she enjoyed the extra attention :)

Travler getting some reps in, learning that humans approaching him while eating is nothing to be concerned about. He has freeze dried liver, raw meat and some canned food in his bowl and is getting comfortable with me approaching him, leaving the food briefly and being released to eat again, as well as automatically engaging with me on approach. Way to go Travler!

So excited to have Travler here for a Stay & Train. I have worked with him in a couple private lessons and he is an absolute blast to train with! Also if you follow us closely you’ll remember Razor the border collie. This is his new brother and I’m spoiled having gotten to/continue to work with them. I am also super lucky to have Priya in Stay & Refresh right now as she has the energy for puppies, amazing social skills and is becoming a wonderful puppy teacher.
