One of the sweetest little friends from my daughter’s preschool, Charlie, is facing something no child should ever have to go through. Charlie was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
He is just a little boy with so much life ahead of him, and now his days are filled with doctors, treatments, appointments, and an incredibly difficult road to recovery. His family is facing not only the emotional heartbreak that comes with a diagnosis like this, but also the financial strain that comes with medical care, travel, time away from work, and the countless unexpected expenses along the way.
As a fellow preschool parent, it breaks my heart to know that while our little ones should be worrying about playtime, snacks, and making friends, Charlie and his family are having to fight a battle far bigger than any child should have to face. 💔
