A little recycling update!

We love seeing those aluminum cans filling our recycling bin! To help make collection and handling easier, we're asking that all aluminum cans be bagged before being placed in the library's recycling bin.

So gather them, bag them, and bring them!

Thank you for recycling with us and helping us keep things running smoothly.

Bag your cans. Do your part and recycle. Visit the library. Look at us multitasking. :)

Check Out Fall Flavors
Fall has officially arrived, which means soup recipes have entered the group chat and we have once again convinced ourselves we are about to bake bread from scratch.
This week's finds include cookbooks filled with:
Cozy soups and stews
Breads and baking
Apple recipes
Pumpkin everything
Comfort food for cooler evenings
New dishes for anyone ready to venture beyond the annual casserole.
Borrowing a cookbook lets you test drive recipes before buying it. Experiment freely just return the book without the experimental gravy.
Stop by, browse our cookbook shelves and check out some inspiration for your kitchen.

What food officially tastes like fall to you?

Happy Friday! It turns out today is a double feature: it’s both (a day celebrating the magic of books) AND . πŸ§€βœ¨

As professionals of the page, we took this very literally and tried to combine them.

We can officially confirm that opening a book IS magical, but opening a fresh, cheesy quesadilla is also magical. However, putting a quesadilla inside a book to use as a bookmark does NOT work, is highly discouraged by staff, and completely ruins the plot.

Instead, we recommend the ultimate Friday vibe: Come grab a magical new mystery or romance novel. Go home and make a massive plate of cheesy quesadillas.

Tell us in the comments: what book are you "opening" up this weekend, and what is your elite quesadilla filling?πŸ‘‡πŸ“–πŸ§€. Consume both responsibly.

Were you raised by:
Nancy Drew or The Hardy Boys
The Boxcar Children
Goosebumps
The Baby-Sitters Club
The Magic School Bus
Magic Tree House
Or was there another series you checked out so often that librarian should have simply deeded it to you?
Tell us which books raised you and which ones you're now handing to the next generation.
